Nothing to brag about, but its nice to see a (positive) recognition on a big network like NFLN.

That was a hell of a catch. The throw was pretty much on the money too.

Not according to the other Cassel threads. He can't hit an open receiver (to be named later because ever week a different receiver is playing) to save his life...

Brown and McGraw make good plays from time-to-time. Doesn't mean they are quality safties either.

Great touch on that pass. He should have used that touch on the throw to Chambers, instead of trying to throw a fastball past Leon Hall.

I was shocked when I saw that at the bar. I actually began to think that the Chiefs could win that game at that moment. I was the ONLY Chiefs fan in the bar...oh how the mighty have fallen.

The pass was better than the catch. You better catch that thing when it's placed right there.

If that was a fastball, Cassel needs to move to the high arc league.

No doubt about it, that was an awesome catch that i'm sure no one expected Randy Castillo to make.

He knew he was heading into a 3 way murder sandwich & hung on... nice job Randy.

This is a dumb argument.

The fact that Cassel hit Castille in the endzone for a very nice pass and catch does not in any way, shape or form negate the 150 bad passes thrown by Cassel this season.

That was a nice catch ... and pass.

It raises the question as to why Cassel can't throw with that kind of touch and accuracy all the time. There was a guy in his face and everything. Strange ... or maybe this was just a fluke deal and he was really aiming for Bowe in the fade route.

Please don't mention these. Some people don't count them, and get upset when they're brought up. Lets keep this as uncivil as possible. Thank you.

or the 150 dropped passes.

Cassel has to date:

258 completions.

469 attempts.

Even if there have been 60 dropped passes this year (which is over-estimating), Cassel has thrown 151 errant passes.

10 per game.

Awesome.

Franchise.

I remember so many excuses made for Huard and the love for him was unreal. Huard made some good throws btw his first year replacing Trent it was like wow everybody loved Huard and then his suck level went up and everybody started to say he sucks but there were still people saying how good he was it was never Huards fault he could do no wrong.

:hmmm: Huard was a career back up QB and was a back up QB for New England. Cassel was a career back up QB and played for New England. SCOTT PETERSON!

Payton Manning:
379 Completions
553 attempts

Even if there were 60 dropped passes for them, which is probably a huge over estimation, Manning has thrown 114 errant passes this year. Almost 8 per game.

man. That guy SUCKS!

Tom Brady
354 completions
539 attempts

Even if there were 60 dropped passes for them, which is probably a huge over estimation, Brady has thrown 125 errant passes this year. A little over 8 per game.

Brady FAIL!!

I'd say that he doesn't have a lot of faith in his WR's and his OL has made him a bit antsy, so he's probably throwing it tight instead of letting the ball go freely. Not that I'm sold that he will be a great QB, but really, I'm not sure many people would be in this situation.

Tom Brady would suck on this team.
Payton Manning would suck on this team.

Does anyone really think that we would have won the division this year with either of those guys at the helm?

Cassel, IMO, is a work in progress. He didn't exactly disgrace himself last year when he had legit QB coaching. I'm hoping Haley will do a dramatic shake-down of the coaching staff and in the process hires a QB coach. (Maybe Jim Zorn?)

Franchise.68% passing ain't too bad at all with the lack of protection he has received almost all year.

Qualifying statement: The above takes into account the 60 drops. I for one think there has been more drops.

Back to the myth that the protection hasn't been adequate.

It wasn't early in the season but it has improved. I think all the hits that Cassel took early in the year and all the dropped passes have had a negative effect on Cassel. In the end it won't be an excuse and if he doesn't get his shit together next year I think he'll be on the bench or gone.

It is fun to watch, maybe if Cassel could always throw to a "triangulated" receiver, he would be more accurate.
