The Chiefs won’t have a Pro Bowl player for the first time in more than three decades. Kansas City was shut out Tuesday night, becoming one of six NFL teams without a representative in the league’s annual showcase.

It’s the first time since 1978 the team hasn’t had a Pro Bowler. The Chiefs are 3-12 and finish the season Sunday at Denver.

Former Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez, who was traded to Atlanta last April, failed to make his 11th appearance on a Pro Bowl roster.

I think Succop, Colquitt, and maybe Flowers could have gotten some consideration.

It's hard to get recognition when you're part of the worst franchise in the NFL. Succop, Colquitt, Flowers, and possibly Charles would be considered with better people around them

just goes to show where this team is at. it is what it is though.

I agree with Nnamdi and Revis, but I think Flowers should at least be in the conversation with Bailey.

If Flowers had played in all 16 games, then maybe.

I think he's going to be a great player but I don't think anyone else will know until the rest of the defense is shored up, especially the safety positions.

Bengals heading to the Playoffs....Zero Pro Bowlers....Odd?

Ronnie Brown made it last year with so-so numbers...

Figured maybe Charles' strong 2nd half might get a little consideration but then I looked at the other AFC backs and realized he had no shot whatsoever...

A full season...and then he definitely could have represented us...

Right, I agree with this. He will need to play on a better D to get the recognition he deserves.

Leon Hall is another corner that really should have made it over Bailey, IMO.

Leon Hall had a hell of a year for the Bengals.

And Cedric Benson should have gotten some serious consideration.

Hard to say he should have gotten in over guys like Maurice Jones-Drew, Chris Johnson, or Ray Rice though.

I haven't watched the Ravens much this year because they're generally on opposite the Chiefs and quite frankly, they play boring games not worth flipping to during Chiefs commercials.

Ray Rice has more than 1,900 yards of offense.

With that defense, how can that team be 8-7?

Flacco hasn't been spectacular, and they really don't have any other playmakers. Plus, Ed Reed being banged up for much of the year hurt them some I think. They are still a good D, but not nearly as explosive.

Ray Rice is the truth though.

Ray Rice is the truth though.

I guess so.

I watched him in more than a few Rutgers games and thought he was the second coming of Priest, but I was concerned about his size.

Good for him!

Give the man a pass rush and a decent safety and he'll get there. He was ranked 5th this year http://profootballfocus.com/by_position.php?tab=by_position&season=2009&pos=CB&stype=r&runpass=&teamid=-1&numsnaps=25&numgames=1 and thats with the pieces of shit we have on the field. This man took chicken shit and has made a banquet.

All hope is not lost. After the first 23 AFC QB's pull out of the game, we'll probably send one of our QB's. Cross your fingers.

We have officially stockpiled the picks!!!!1 We have built through the draft and your all too blind to see!!!!1

No Charles? Guess 'cause he didn't start full year. 2nd best RB that started, IMO. Chris Johnson is easy #1.

dam the Bengals got shut out as well

Palmer ranks at 8 or lower in most categories
Benson is 5th in yards and lower in TDs
Ocho doesn't beat anyone out

Defensively, I haven't looked at the comparisons.

True... it's weird. There were only 2 Bengals on the 2008 roster, Ocho and TJ... TJ is gone and Ocho is down the rankigs in 2009.
