Say you put 22 clones of the same person on the field. And they have to play 22 clones of any other player. You need the right combo of size, speed and skills. Who do you like?

a. Current NFL players?

b. All time NFL players?

c. Curremt College?

Willie Roaf. I'd like to see someone try to bring Willie down in the back field, especially with 9 Willie's blocking for him.

All time would be some old school iron man, like Jim Thorpe

edited to add: Forget Thorpe. Bronko Nagurski. He was a running back AND a linebacker.

At the University of Minnesota he played four positions and was named All-America at both fullback and tackle. With the Bears, his defensive play was as awesome as his offensive ball carrying.

The jump pass, in which he would fake a plunge, then step back a yard or two, jump and lob a pass to a waiting receiver was devastating. His jump pass to Red Grange was responsible for the key touchdown in the Bears’ 1932 victory over Portsmouth for the league title.

I had him in mind for all time. Could he beat Ray Lewis or Lawrence Taylor in their prime? Bell definitely has the edge on skill, but the other two have the modern size/speed combo that would be tough to handle.

For a serious answer, I'd be intrigued to see what a team full of Andre Johnsons would be like.

Among current NFL players who presents a match-up problem for Troy P. He'd be really tough on D. If you go big, he'll knife through to make the play on some goo bucket ball carrier.. If you go small, he'd blow by your blocking.

Bonus: Among current Chiefs, who would be king of the clones? I like DJ.

Bo Jackson.

Train him up to throw the football like he could throw the baseball and you'd never lose.

I like the Andre Johnson suggestion among current players.

Dwayne Bowe among current Chiefs.

All-time? Ronnie Lott. Maybe Lawrence Taylor.

You know, I could actually act out this experiment via Madden. Because weight factors into the AI.

a) Charles Woodson

b) Jim Brown (Barry Sanders would be fun, however....)

c) Taylor Mays

Bo Jackson.

Train him up to throw the football like he could throw the baseball and you'd never lose.
My choice also.the only guy fast enough to stay with the fastest in the league yet strong enough to take on the big guys. No one else had both except maybe jim brown.

Same here. Bo had size, speed, strength, a rocket arm and the hand eye coordination to hit major league pitching. What's not to like?

If we ever get to this point with football, all stadiums must begin hosting fights to the death between players at halftime.

Its hard to think of someone who might be a better choice than Bo... I still think he was the best RB in his prime than anyone else

the few I came up with.... Lawrence Taylor, Ray Lewis, Ronnie Lott

I also like Bo.

Tony G would be tough if he can throw. TE's are used to blocking, receiving, and running w/ the ball.

Current Player - I'll go Vernon Davis. Crazy athleticism with speed. And he would have the size to muscle around the smaller sized teams.

All Time - Bo. That debate is over.

Current College - Okay flame away but I'll go Tebow. 235 lb guy who is athletic and can also throw (supposedly :P) the ball? I'll go that guy.

I can't believe it took this long to come up with Tebow. He's the right answer for the college category, IMO.
