Hey fellas, thanks for the sympathy, lol.

I'm not really too upset about the loss. I'm used to the Chargers losing in the playoffs, just a little more upset about the fact that its another 8 months til football season.

All in all, I still have my family, my friends, ChiefsPlanet, and my health (not to mention a job). I'm surprisingly not upset right now.

I think Rivers, Kaeding, and Norv shit the bed. If I were running the team Norv would be saying his goodbye's tomorrow. We keep Kaeding though.

I am pretty upset at Nate "The Great." I'm pretty sure a name change is in order.

DaFace, if you could just change my name to Buck, that'd be great.

Nate and his wife, Samantha, have two sons, Jack (born on May 7th, 2008)[3] and Wyatt (born on August 17th, 2009)[4]. He is also known for sucking at field goals when a team needs them, and the head coach of the San Diego Chargers just realized that he would have had better luck with an eight year old girl. For as shitty as he played today, he shouldn't have been kicking the ball. Our offense broke down when we got close. Also I've lived through Steve Christie, Wade Richey, etc....

Those kickers cost us games in the Regular Season, Kaeding is money (except for today). I expect he'll live through it.

Kaeding's choke job is 1000 times worse than the kicker that shall go unnamed's choke job. Elliot sucked during the regular season, yet Carl and Marty refused to replace him. I believe I heard the announcers say that Kaeding had made something like 20 field goals in a row going into the game, and that from inside the 50 he had made something like 49 in a row.

This has to be the worst choke by a kicker in NFL history.

I feel kind of sorry for the Charger fans. I was rooting for the Chargers to get into the Super Bowl.

I can't imagine that the Chargers would bring him back next year.

Check Brees' 2003 numbers.Decisions are based on one season of stats? Those are the kind of decisions that result in Dan Williams landing a fat contract. I would have thought the Chargers would have understood Brees' drive, intelligence, and work ethic as the Chargers' leader.

IIRC Bree's was going the way of Ryan Leaf before they drafted Rivers. It wasn't just ONE season of stats. He sucked before 2003. (J/K about the Leaf.. No one sucks that bad)

Then when they drafter Rivers he bucked up and started doing more studying and working to be better and had a GREAT year that same year Rivers was drafted.

Then when he got hurt with shoulder injury they traded him away because they already had a QB to take his place and figured he was damaged goods.

The Saints took a chance on him and I guess you could say it paid off. Miami's front office was made to look like tools for passing him up for Daunte Culpepper that same year. I think Brees wanted to go to South Florida.

I don't think Brees was the issue in SD, he was just a convenient scapegoat for upper management. I do believe he had the injury concern as well.

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BreeDr00.htm

They won 11 and 9 games in his last 2 seasons in SD.
Brees threw 27 and 24 TDs with 7 and 15 INTs respectively in those 2 years, with completion % of 65 and 53. That's not terrible.

At the time, his WRs weren't much but in 2005 (when Rivers was on the bench), they had a young VJ at WR not doing much and Gates... along with LT, Turner and Sproles.

At the end of the 2005 season, he had the shoulder injury and with Rivers (high pick) on the bench, they rolled the dice and made the trade. Brees had not performed well early in SD, but in his last 2 seasons... he was very good, unfortunately for him, they drafted Rivers prior to that season and then he got hurt.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drew_Brees

Oh well... Brees moved on and is doing well with the Saints.
