Pretty cool stuff here. I grew up in the KC area in the late 70s/80s before moving out to Arizona in '89. This brought back some memories and I am sure it will bring back some for others here.

Meh, that's basically just a tour of Johnson County. REAL KC is Jackson County and the "DOT," man...

That would have been really cool if over half of it wasn't Johnson County.

Very cool.

Brought back some memories.

Would have been even better to have some scenes from Downtown (I worked at Macy*s at 12th and Baltimore) and North of the River.

Seriously, how do you have an Old KC video and not have anything of downtown.

Please title thread "Old KCK Suburbs"

I know I played a Chess Master at Metcalf South (he was doing a speed chess demo), playing like 30 boards at once. I think that is also where I got Otis Taylor's autograph.

Of course not. People stream over into MO when they want to actually do something interesting. And not go to some chain restraunt.

Thanks! That really brings back some memories. I grew up there in the 70s/80s too, and left in '84.

When I saw the picture of the Counrty Club Plaza 1954 there was a trolly car in it. I was born in 1953 but I can remember riding in one. I saw a lot of movies at the Leawood Drive-in and saw Star Wars at the Glenwood.

I agree with everyone else. Too much Johnson County, not enough of KC. Hell, they spent like a minute on the Leawood drive thru alone.

The guy made a video about the things that were important to HIM. If you don't like it, make your own goddamn video.
