I just did my income taxes, and I owe $144 for California.

The highest I've ever owed before was $25, and I haven't changed anything.

Ouch. Is there anywhere to go to find out which state is the most into the red? California seems to not be doing well.

Don't ask there is shit about this state I hate...the way they punish their residents with oppressive taxes and then spend money they don't have on programs that are marginal at best. Once I'm done doing what I need to do peace out CA. :cuss:

California isn't doing well because they are naive. They push social programs and social policy that doesn't work. The tax system is ridiculous they remove one of the taxes that's extremely hard to avoid and before this year doesn't fluctuate much(i.e. property tax). And depend upon excessive taxation of the income of their residents. What they fail to realize is that income is FAR more volatile than property values and far easier to avoid state taxation. The state punishes new immigrants more than any other which is why there is a huge net outflow of people out of the state. Personally I want the state to declare bankruptcy. It might be the only way to force the fiscal changes that are needed here. If not there are plenty of other great state to live in.

Wow, I'm sorry you had to actually pay $55 dollars.

Did you have to mortgage your house or have to eat bread and water for a month to manage?

Wow Man, I feel so sorry for you.

Tough times indeed.

$55 dollars.

Shit.

I haven't done my taxes yet but I have had around 10 grand taken from my pay by the state. Not sure if I will owe more or get some back.

I haven't done my taxes yet....but I'm assuming that I'm going to owe something.

I got back $129 last year......so I'll probably owe something stupid like $200 this year. Gee.....I can't wait.

If you look at his situation in terms of percentage points of variance from last year to this year instead of dollar amount his case takes on some significance.
Not that you can be bothered with running calculations for some plebe's nickel and dime show.

Exactly.

Taxes suck ass, there's no doubt. But to whine about $55 dollars?

Over the course of one full year, that 15 cents per day.

Over the course of one full year, that 1.5 cents per day.

15 cents technically.

Hey damnt....what's if he's trying to be cak'n patna? He can't do that if he's losing out on 15 cents per day.

15 cents technically.

I already corrected that, thanks.

It's morning, technically.

:D

Look, I know taxes suck. The amount of taxes that my wife and I pay to the state of California are absolutely insane, especially if you add in property tax.

But I'm not going to complain about it on a football forum.

I hope someone checks your math for you if you do your own taxes....it's 15 cents, not 1.5 per day......not much to most of us, but stil..........l
