I'd miss his Sirius show, and he'd have to mute his style pretty markedly, but this would be a HUGE rise in profile and he's certainly as capable of brutal honesty as Simon.

I doubt that he has the musical savvy to replace Cowell.

Cowell + Abdul > Stern + Degeneres.

And so, American Idol, one of the most successful shows in TV history, jumps the shark. Actually been happening a couple of years, but that sucker's been cleared.

Do you think any fires would start by the burst of wind from Howard Sterns asshole?

Exactly, besides I thought Simon was the producer & owned the rights to the show

I figured they would just bring in Piers Morgan.

Personally, I think they should choose the next judge via talent contest.

Do people still watch that fucking game show?

Call me when the "idol" is a 14" ivory double-donger going in both of Paula Abdul's holes at once.

No I don't think he does. I think he's leaving to start his own show. He did the same thing here in the UK.

We had a show called Pop Idol, which I think American Idol was spawned from. Cowell then left and did his own show which is called X Factor, which is exactly the same apart from it features even more more of the preening tosser.

I don't see it being as easy for him to do it in the US, seems like American Idol has become much more of a cultural thing than Pop Idol ever was here, I think it only ran for 2 or 3 years.

Wrong Simon, Simon Fuller.

And for those not putting the puzzle pieces together, that 'X-factor' show is how we know the name Susan Boyle.

I've been sort of hard on Stern in the past, but this seems like it would be an awesome fit.

It would be for an entertainment value, but the show is basically a family show and I don't know if a lot pf parents are going to want their 10-15 year olds sitting there watching Stern. I think it could be a good fit for one year and then replace him.
