Nice resources, Mr. Over-Head. You know, I've been thinking ...

I'm sure you (and most the other highly intelligent Planeteers) have already thought about this, so I'd be very interested in your views on the subject.

As we all know, people are made up of 90% water, correct? What would life be like if, instead of water, we were made up of 90% lead?

One thing that might happen is that it would take more rocket fuel to launch the space shuttle, probably. Another thing might be that the traditional number of pallbearers would be something like 20 instead of 6. Another thing might be that there would be a lot fewer car crash fatalities.

Hey, fellow nerds! You might enjoy Dr. Phil Plait's Bad Astronomy Blog as follows: http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/

When he's not too busy giving the anti-vaxers their come-uppance, he provides some entertaining space news.

There is this guy where I work and this other guy keeps telling him to get the lead out of his ass so Mr. Fax maybe some are made of lead.

Ditto.

Long as there's a small window, chance for a wet splashdown, and no equipment malfunction...

I have to put a vote in for APOD (Astronomy Picture of the Day)

<a href="http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html">APOD</a>

Some pretty cool stuff and the index goes back to 1995.
