Somehow, I lost the sound to my pc, I was cleaning some files and click on a bye bye path when I shouldn't have, someone was talking to me and I goofed. Done dropped the recycle bin.

Can I retrieve it back if I go back to yesterday ?

If it's in the Recycle Bin you should be able to retrieve it from there if you know which file it is.

And yes, System Restore will fix it if nothing else, I can't even count how many times that has bailed my ass out.

Already dumped it when I noticed it wasn't in the task bar anymore. My music won't play.

OK, do I close down all programs to do so, I have never had to do this in 9 years. I just screwed up this time.

Dude it's a piece of cake, just close everything and follow the steps. It will take 5-10 minutes.

You may want to try a simple restart first though, I have inexplicably lost sound before and a restart fixed it.

sounds like you lost your driver for the audio.. you can retrieve the driver from your manufacture website, go through and select the model of the PC and what not.. you shouldnt have to do a restore

You shouldn't be deleting anything in the folder that the audio driver is in. And it's not just one file, it's folders full of files. Stay away from wherever you were deleting these from.

I would highly recommend using Add/Remove Programs app inside Control Panel to remove software you don't want.
