We've had the warmest winter on record here in Seattle. I don't think temps have dropped into freezing more than once on the overnight lows.

The point is to try and see if anything should and/or can be done in case some theories are true. Or we could just not give a shit and proceed at our current rates, we won't be the ones suffering anyway if the shit hits the fan.

The 100% truth of the matter is that the Greenhouse Effect is real and we ARE contributing to it. Whether it's enough to change anything is another issue. I just think it's more prudent to be careful, that's all.

Which is of course helps to make it look bad, because we didn't bother to care much until after 1950. It is sort of like Antarctica losing large ice shelves, we haven't been there long enough to know wtf is normal there.
