So I was thinking about a couple of the trade scenarios that have been talked about and thought I'd see what the points would be. While I was at it, I thought I'd just throw it out there. I really wouldn't mind trading down with Buffalo, based on what we'd stand to gain in terms of the number of picks.

Scenario # 1: KC & Cleveland
KC gets picks # 7 (1500) & # 71 (235) total of 1735 points
Cleveland gets picks # 4 (1700) & # 144 (34) total of 1734 points

We gain a 3rd and lose a 5th, then have picks 7, 36, 50, 69, 71, 103, 138 & 150.

Scenario # 2: KC & Buffalo
KC gets picks # 9 (1350), # 73 (225), # 108 (78) & # 142 (35) total of 1688 points
Buffalo gets pick # 5 (1700) points

We gain a 3rd, 4th & 5th, then have picks 9, 36, 50, 69, 73, 103, 108, 138, 142, 144 & 150.

So, who would you take?

Why are they trading up with us?

the trade with cleveland is supposedly:

chiefs 1st for cleveland's first, second, and we'd switch picks in rounds 4 and 5 (I think). not sure how that would work out though--seems as if the draft value point chart is a bit outdated.

I have no idea why Cleveland would move, Buffalo would be if one of the QB's fell to our pick.

it is.

and recently there seems to be a trend that top 5 picks are on a different level. Teams can move around in the top 5 at relatively low cost, but someone jumping into the top 5 is pretty rare.

I think if they trade up it's because they want Berry or Haden.

I think if they trade up it's because they want Berry or Haden.I guess it depends on who we want. I would just as soon pull the trigger for either one of those players. At some point, we need to to start locking some positions down with quality players. The good news is the draft is deep, so it wouldn't kill us to trade down, but I'm readyto sure up some of the positions on the team.

This draft is DEEP in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Lots of talent. Safeties and offensive linemen in those rounds are an upgrade over our starters.
