Ok. It's March now, and the combine is over.

Here's the scenario:

Round 1
1. St. Louis (1-15) - Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
2. Detroit (2-14) - Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
3. Tampa Bay (3-13) - Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
4. Washington (4-12) - Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State
5. Kansas City (4-12) -

KC is on the clock. Who do they take?

I'd have a hard time taking a safety in the top 5, even though that's where the hype meter is at on the guy.

I'm sure not high on Clausen though.

Myself, I'd go Rolando McClaine here, but you guys know your team better than I do.

I'd create a scientific "accident" in which Clausen and Berry would accidently mutated into the same person, creating a killer QB/S hybrid named Eric Clausenberry. Like Scott Frost on steroids.

I am just wondering, do people REALLY believe Shanahan would go with Jason Campbell at QB?

Chiefs fans want to draft a QB after just signing one a year ago, yet they think the redskins will just be complacent with Jason freakin Cambell?

I wonder if Berry will even run the 40

It would go a long way towards showing his competitiveness. I was proud to see Suh and McCoy run the 40. Usually those guys won't run. If Berry runs, it just shows he has a natural competitive urge. I will be very disappointed if he opts out.

Actually i think i take Clausen

Cassel starts this year unless we get a quality trade offer. Clausen sits and learns and grows up. Hopefully Cassel plays well and we have the ability to get a quality trade next year.

you can never really have too many quality quarterbacks.

Once again...I gotta bring this up... But if Cassel plays well, we know we have a solid QB. If we trade him after he plays well we have no guarantee that Clausen is a franchise QB. If he sucks...We just let a solid QB go to another team and here we are again stuck in a crap situation with a QB...

The best scenario if we draft Clausen is for Cassel to totally suck next year.

I guess I thought you where insinuating that we trade Cassel after he has a successful season by that comment. If you mean't for us to trade Clausen that would be a waste of a pick too. Clausen won't be as valuable after draft day a year later.

SD got lucky that Rivers turned out so good. We can't act like Clausen is a guarantee franchise QB.

IDEAL Scenario, for me:
Trade down with buffalo, (1.5 + 4.4 for 1.9 + 2.9)
1.9) Jason Pierre-Paul OLB
2.4) Dan Williams NT
2.9) Charles Brown OT
2.18) Brandon Spikes ILB
3.4) Dan LeFevour QB
Yea. I don't know if I would have the balls to take Pierre-Paul here. Huge upside, but huge bust potential too.

I might be dreaming. But Dan Williams plummets to 30 in Scott Wrights world. So sue me if I think he can fall past the vikings, colts, saints, rams, lions and bucs.

Charles fucking Brown pushes Albert to LG and makes waters expendable. I don't like it, but Pioli/Haley can't pass up Brown if he falls to 2. (Unless Dan Williams is there.)

Yea I think his mock as of now is way off.

I think JPP is gonna go to the Raiders, I've been flipping back and forth with that but after today I have him there.

Charles Brown 14 to Seattle I think he'll go far higher than any mock has him and I think Dan Williams is a top 15 player, 9 to Buffalo is where I'd put him as of today.

Titty Meat

I agree Buffalo would have a stake in him. However, Buffalo trades up for Bradford in this scenario, causing Dan Williams to take a precipitous fall...

Mecca
03-01-2010, 09:24 PM
He could play standing but I don't think it's his best fit, if you saw him today he was 270 and looked thin almost lanky like he was hiding the weight, he could carry 300lbs easily.

Also as far as Spikes goes his stock is continuing to fall as he shows he's not athletic, watch out for Jamar Cheney though, guy is rising fast.

Nah watching the combine is like watching paint dry. I can only watch it for so long. If the Chiefs traded down to 9 and were going to draft a OLB Brandon Graham would be my choice.

Graham isn't going to get drafted by this team, not enough size and you could move again if you wanted him.

If the Chiefs moved to 9 I'd tell you Dan Williams/OT is the target.

He's the best pass rusher for that positon in the first round.

Not to this team he won't be, Pioli is a Parcells guy he values size, the Chiefs would take Kindle before Graham.

Disagree with that, Brown is exceptionally athletic, I think he's going to be very high on NFL teams boards because of the desire to have an athletic LT and he's a perfect zone blocker type.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Chiefs had him as a top 10 player.

Okay, Mecca, assume previous scenario:
Trade down with buffalo, (1.5 + 4.4 for 1.9 + 2.9)
Trade up with Cincinatti (2.9 + 3.4 for 1.20)
1.9) Dan Williams NT
1.20) Sean Weatherspoon ILB (Just for Hamas)
2.4) Jerry Hughes OLB
2.18) Mardy Gilyard WR

Safety is a impact role in today's NFL and it's a position of dire need for us going into next year.
