Darling, Savage set free
The Chiefs today released wide receiver Devard Darling and running back Dantrell Savage.

Darling was once a starter for the Chiefs and was with the first team last year in the training camp. A knee injury in the preseason ended his year.

Savage was never a starter for the Chiefs but he was their go-to back last season when they were desperately trying to play catch-up in what would be a loss to the Raiders. Larry Johnson wasn't much help because the Chiefs had to throw the ball and Jamaal Charles was inexplicably inactive for that game

Savage at least had somewhat big play potential.

I thought the Darling signing was a waste of time from the beginning. If you can't do shit on a BAL team that's in the same position as us in terms of WR talent, what made Herm think he'd flourish here?

I bet they blame it on the officials.
