We should probably have a FA mega thread but until then

http://www.arrowheadpride.com/

And free agency has just taken another major hit (http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2010/mar/04/sproles-ready-free-agency/).

Expecting to be one of the top five players available, Darren Sproles (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/3032/Darren_Sproles) will not become a free agent, according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Acee reports the Chargers (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/SDC) will place the highest tender on Sproles meaning it will take a first and third round pick in addition to a new contract in order to pry him away.

Want to hear the hard part about all this?

Acee reports Sproles was scheduled to visit the Chiefs (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/KAN) this weekend as well as the Rams (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/STL), Eagles (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/PHI) and Redskins (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/WAS).

So, can they just give him a $5 million dollar pay cut?

That's cool. I think we should just have 1 mega FA thread anyway it is hard to keep track of everything. It is going to be a wild and crazy couple of weeks except for the Chiefs.

I didn't want him anyway.

Sproles wouldn't do us any good anyway, he's a redundant part.

Strange as it sounds, I'd rather have LenDale White.

I only like this if we sign him to a long term contract at $5mil or less per year. $7.5+ mil per year for a repeat of last year won't be worth it at all, hell $5mil wouldn't but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt I guess, he'll get more PT this year.

NFLN answered my question. I was assuming they were able to give him a 2million dollar deal but it's over 7. I'm sure he's not complaining.

No kidding. He got a nice raise and is playing for a good team and his main competitor got cut.

Sproles reportedly was scheduled to visit the Chiefs, Rams, Eagles, and Redskins -- an amazing itinerary given that the mere lining up of visits before midnight on the first day of free agency constitutes tampering per se.

FUCK!!!!!!

This.

But there was potential for a LOT of "The Sizzle" with Sproles, and we just can't have that/Pioli.

Right now I'm on the Chester Taylor bandwagon.
