So Clark "Sparky" Hunt is gonna make a mint this year win or lose. And damnit, now I can't get this song out of my head.

<object width="500" height="405"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fow3VIXxW_M&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fow3VIXxW_M&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="405"></embed></object>

Especially when I heard the one story I caught on the tube on the way out of the house today. It was a commentator on ESPN, don't recall who, not a normal personality on the network to my knowledge...anywho, the point was that this year was about as strange as it will ever get regarding free agency. US economic conditions, CBA destruction, no monetary obligations for teams...

He (guest-dude-man on ESPN) was saying that this Free Agent class was pretty limited, and so a lot of guys were being considerably overpaid (but also acknowledged that was typical of free agents in general). But the most interesting thing I heard, and wished I had more time to research, was that he said there was the potential for 400 plus free agents in a year (I'm assuming complete CBA breakdown). He said that a lot of people this season are looking at an "extremely healthy" draft class, which has many teams waiting, and focusing nearly all their efforts on that specifically.

Here's the fun part. Then guest-dude-man starts to speak about the Tampa Bay Bucs, and why it is that teams short on talent might be waiting too. Said that while teams far under what used to be the salary floor, and who should most certainly be in the market for talent....teams like Tampa, and ehem, Kansas City....would likely be using this year to get healthy in the books.

Well thank Almighty God for that, sure don't want any of Sparky's 19 soccer clubs, or grandfathered oil business to need for anything...

I know this isn't information suitable for Headline News or anything, but I just can't seem to put this bullshit to rest. This organization rakes how much coin? Who paid for your stadium? Twice? What's your financial commitment to this organization exactly? Or do you just make withdrawals???
