I like this guy: Dan LeFevour. What about you?

Mecca

LeFevour fucked himself not throwing at the combine, it was about the dumbest fucking thing he could have done.

How late do they have to be picked to be considered "sleepers" to you?

McCluster is probably going to go higher than many people realize.

Golden Tate.

Anyone after pick #15 should be in the discussion.

I don't consider Tate a sleeper. How about Briscoe?

Mecca
03-11-2010, 05:20 PM
Briscoe is way to slow.

He's not going to be a high pick and I'm not really sure he can play on the NFL level.

You're right. Too late.

I think Clausen is underrated.

McCluster has one of the worst "speed" numbers (40 time relative to weight) of any prospect, ever.

According to FO, it bodes incredibly poorly for NFL success.

McCluster is more quick than fast and he threw up a ton of reps, I think he'll have a nice role as a hybrid on a good team..

Still think he'll get heavy consideration from the Cowboys in the 2nd round.

If we are talking sleepers I would throw Danario Alexander out there. With his injury history and poor performance at the Senior Bowl and injury there as well he is likely going to slide quite a ways. At 6'5" and 215 someone could be getting a major steal late in the draft if he can ever stay healthy.

The guys on sirius radio moving the chains think Thomas is going to be a top 10 pick. They were doing a mock draft tonight and he was the first WR off their board.

Brandon Banks...probably could get him in the 5th round...solves kick returner and slot receiver...elite speed, good hands, knew a pro style offense under Ron Prince...if he was 5'10" or 5'11" he would be getting DeSean Jackson comparisons.

I like Thomas alot, but I'm certain his injury will cause him to fall. I can't see teams throwing millions of dollars at him without knowing how he will heal.

Stephen Williams - Toledo - Pushing 6'5, 4.4. 40, Toledo's all time leading receiver
Projected 5th-6th rounder
Plays a helluva lot like Malcom Floyd, but he's bigger.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehMxI_i61xE

Also Arthur Jones as a 5-technique
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7h6t5Zf_Q0

Jason Worilds as a pass rusher - Don't know if you'd call him a sleeper but he's got the best burst off the edge in this draft and I don't hear many really talking about him.

There are a lot more, but it's hard to find video on most of the later round guys.

No shit, really? I had no idea.

Bottom line, he can play.

Trevard Lindley, I know he had a horrible pro bowl and he runs slow but the guy is a playmaker and as a development prospect in the very late rounds. I think he is good value in the 6th 7th. If he can get his confidence back he will be a good No 2 corner in the right defencive scheme.

I like Arthur Jones actually, I don't know how he at all would fit the Chiefs but his injury took him from a fringe 1st rounder to a mid rounder so some team can get a steal there.

Yea but he was only out for 3 games, and had 1.5 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries and was still All big East. I would think he would still be a high rounder? I thought he wouldn't make it past the 2nd.

Must have been off on my aim.

Big sleeper. Clay Harbor.

Can't recall if it was Mayock, but someone on the NFL Network talked about Harbor going as high as the 4th now.

I had heard he would be completely healed and possibly even able to run prior to the draft.

He's out 4-6 weeks with a BROKEN FOOT. He'll be cutting it close. I don't think he's going to risk re-injurying his foot.

SIU's Karim shows why he caught Bears' eye

The pro day at Northwestern proved to be a launching point last year for Jason Williams, a linebacker from Western Illinois.

Wiith about half the teams in the league represented, Williams performed so well that he wound up having to turn down invitations to make pre-draft visits with more than a dozen teams interested in him. He became a third-round draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys, and now another small-school performer is hoping his day in Evanston turns into big things.

Southern Illinois running back Deji Karim put together an impressive pro day workout Thursday at Northwestern. One scout timed the nation's leading rusher from 2009 at 4.37 seconds in the 4o0-yard dash.
Karim, who was not invited to the scouting combine, had a 43-inch vertical jump, 10 foot, 3-inch broad jump and put up 19 reps on the bench press at 225 pounds. He measured just a shade under 5-foot-9 and was 210 pounds.

"I felt pretty good this morning," said Karim, who met with the Bears at the Texas vs. The Nation all-star game. "I felt like I had my best stuff. I hope it does me justice."

Karim, who sat out the 2008 season after surgery to repair the patella tendon in his left knee, carried the load for the Salukis this past season. He rushed for 1,694 yards on 240 carries (7.1 average) and 18 touchdowns. Coming off a solid showing in El Paso at the Texas game, he's hoping to build some momentum with the draft six weeks from today. He also met with Atlanta, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Seattle and Tennessee at the all-star game.

"I have always felt like I am operating under the radar," Karim said. "I come from a lower level of football, but a lot of guys have come from this level. It's been like this for me all my life. You just have to keep fighting and take advantage of every opportunity you have.

"That's all I need is an opportunity. I just need a chance."

If his workout at Northwestern does for him what Williams' workout a year ago did, the phone will be ringing for Karim soon.

I think we need to define exactly what a sleepr is.

That being said, I have been high on Jimmy Graham as a 5th round TE in this draft.

I think KC is going to be one of the most active teams in signing undrafted kids after the draft.

KC scouts and coaches seem to have been turning up everywhere looking at sleeper talent.

Now we finally have some coaches that are better qualified to identify the right guys for their systems.

Or a least thats my hope.

KC has been out to look at the safety from Northwest Missouri State, Myles Burnside. He's apparently been all-world everything at the Division II level.

Burnsides and LaRon Council (RB, NWMSU) are getting private workouts in KC with the Chiefs. Neither player will be drafted; I don't expect them to be anyway. They'll be interesting UDFA signings though, especially Burnsides. He's been the best D2 saftey for the past two years.

my list is more of just guys that are "under" the radar so to speak.
