Good for him that it's on video. It's probably the coolest thing he'll do in his entire life.

And I'm not trying to belittle the guy. If they gave Nobel prizes for catching passes, he'd have one.

I love the reaction of the defender nearest him at the end of the play. His attitude of disbelief is apparent even though his back is to the camera.

I made a catch almost exactly like that once. I was at the Chiefs open scrimmage for fans (free tickets at your local Arby's!) before either Vermiel's last year or Herm's first year. After the scrimmage each position group went to a certain section of the crowd and threw out t-shirts. The RBs came over to where I was roughly situated and Priest Holmes threw out this shirt that was going over my head but I leaped backwards and one-handed the catch much like the player in the video linked in the OP. The people behind me were ticked off.
