Foote will make $3.9 million in the first year of the deal, a source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Foote was a fourth-round pick of the Steelers in 2002 but left in free agency last season to play with the Detroit Lions (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=det). Foote started 80 games over five years for the Steelers from 2004 to 2008.
