I understand the sandbagging. Northwest Missouri State fans are notorious sandbaggers on Division II boards. I understand the desire to be very realistic about the weaknesses of one's team.

When you're really good, though, you're really good. I was saying two years before the 2009 Division II title game that Northwest would win the title in 2009 because I knew they were going to clearly be the best team in the nation.

I don't think KU fans should be worried. Has KU shown some inconsistent energy this season? Yes, but only because they were bored and looking ahead to the NCAA tourney. They've been looking ahead to the tourney all year; they've always known that their goal is to win it all. When talent meets determination, you get wins. I think KU is going to pretty easily win the national championship.

Well, two years ago KU got the outright winner of the Big East and BE Tournament, the outright winner of the Big 10 and B10 Tournament, a very good 3 point shooting team in Vanderbilt, a KSU team that had already beat them once, and that doesn't even include a Davidson team that came one shot away from beating the top 3 seeds. And then they played in a FF with all 1 seeds. It's not all that different this year..... KU has to take care of business this weekend, then worry about the SS as the brutal half of the bracket gets sorted out.

They're not playing the play-in game winner because they play Friday, and KU is at a Thurs-Sat site... and someone else mentioned they like to keep travel down, too.

That loss was my fault. I attended that game in 2005, so when my wife said that we should try to go to the game this year, my response was, "No 'effin way do I even come close to OKC this weekend!"
