Some more sad news. My best friends brother who was 31 years old, was at a bar/club with a friend in South Zanesville (bad area), and they disappeared last thursday after leaving the club at 1am. They found their atm cards outside of a dumpster on the other side of town on friday. They had search parties trying to find any traces of them, but they couldn't find them. Well they found their bodies in the Muskingum River, and lets just say they didn't go in a good way. Apparently my friends brother and his friend were spending a lot of money because his friend just got his income tax back, and someone took notice they were spending money.

Really a sad story, I knew and fished with him all the time in the summer at their family pond. Such a good family, his family and mine were very close as all us kids went through school together, he just went to the wrong side of town. His family is really taking it hard, and I just ask for some prayers for them. This is something you always see on the news, but you never see it happen.

Prayers for the family.

Note to the young men around here, this is a reminder that you are NOT invincible or bulletproof.

Its sad that shit like this happens and way too often I might add. Best of luck to all parties concerned and may you all pull through this stronger for it. I hope they catch the people who did this and hang them from their balls until dead.

Really sad and sorry for your loss.

I get more pissed daily when I read and/or hear stuff like this,no good account for nothing bastards who have to steal, cheat and in some instances like this kill to take from others who work for a living and just trying to have a little fun and/or something to show for their work.

Good luck and thoughts to you,I hope the bastards are caught and fried, keep us updated.

My condolences for your loss. What a waste of two lives.

I'm always packing either a piece or a blade. I don't want to get put in a position where I can't adequately defend myself.

Second story

http://www.whiznews.com/content/news/local/2010/03/23/bodies-found-in-muskingum-riverupdated

Lutz says after investigation deputies discovered that the car had hit an embankment by the bridge and rolled into the river. Authorities called for the Zanesville Fire Department Rescue boat and pulled a vehicle from the river that had two bodies inside. Lutz says he is considering three possible reasons for the fatal car accident…either the men had been drinking alcohol, or it was driver fatigue or some type of medical issue. Muskingum County Coroner Dr. Perry Kalis has ordered an autopsy. The two men were last seen at the Foxhole Strip Club on the Maysville Pike last Tuesday.

True that. However, I'd rather have something and take my chances, than nothing and know the outcome is inevitable.

Second story

http://www.whiznews.com/content/news/local/2010/03/23/bodies-found-in-muskingum-riverupdated

The bodies of two missing Licking County men were found overnight in the Muskingum River, Zanesville police said this morning.

The bodies of Ben Davis and Ryan Hickey were found in their 1992 Honda Accord under the Sixth Street bridge in Zanesville at 11:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said a witness saw what he thought was a tire in the river near Harper's Auto Body, 276 Muskingum Ave., at 4:30 p.m. Monday. But he didn't know about the case and thought nothing of it until he watched the 11 p.m. news, Lutz said.

After the witness called the sheriff's office, a deputy went to the site and found the car upside down in the water, Lutz said. There were no skid marks or other signs of hard braking, the sheriff said.

The men were positively identified about 5 a.m., Lutz said. Autopies are to be conducted, but foul play is not suspected, he said.

We will update this story with additional details as they become available.

Autopies are to be conducted, but foul play is not suspected, he said.

I have a friend that has family connections in that area. She says law enforcement has definately portrayed this as an accident and not foul play.

it's too bad we do nothing to prevent these types of things where there are known "bad areas"

the people are going to have to take a stand because this is only going to get worse in the future.

Sorry for your loss.
