Chiefs Working Out Another RB

Joique Bell Profile
Late last week, Scout.com reported that the Kansas City Chiefs would hold a private workout with Arizona State running back Dimitri Nance, who is projected to be a late round draft pick. And today, Scout.com has learned that the Chiefs will conduct a private workout with another under-the-radar runner, Wayne State’s Joique Bell, on April 1st.
A four-year starter at Wayne State, Bell rushed for over 2,000 yards the last two seasons and dominated the competition at the Division II level. He rushed for 2,084 yards and 29 touchdowns this past year and won the Harlon Hill Award, which is given to the best Division II player.
The 5-foot-11, 220-pound Bell participated in the Senior Bowl and Scouting Combine, but was unable to elevate his draft stock, as he failed to demonstrate the explosion scouts covet. Bell was timed at a 4.68 in the 40 in Indianapolis and a few weeks later, he ran the same time at his Pro Day. Bell is expected to participate in Central Michigan’s Pro Day on March 24th and will try to get his 40-time in the upper-4.5 region.
Bell is currently the 11th rated running back listed on Scout.com’s 2010 NFL Draft Rankings.
