the Jets!?

Announcement tomorrow could happen according to Bob Glauber who follows the team.

Thoughts if this is true?

i'd watch it; if I had HBO.

Rex Ryan cracks me up.

..just as long as they don't give any d-bag Jets fans any airtime.

Rex makes for insanely interesting television.

It would be interesting to watch the following scenarios play out on television:
• Rex Ryan eating his way through his lap-band surgery.
• How many times Cromartie is served with paternity papers
• Sanchez attempting to hide his personal life from the prying eyes of the New York media (bath houses, massage parlours, etc…)
• The tough decision of cutting Gholston
The list goes on and on...

You mean like D2112?

Herm Edwards and Mangini owe the NY media a cut for the millions they made
Ryan is more of the same

I'd watch any team, but the Jets seem to meet most of the formulaic requirements:

Big name young player in Sanchez
Rising player in Greene trying to fight off Tomlinson
Aged veteran trying to refuel his career in Tomlinson
Impressive-looking bust with uncertain future in Gholston
Marquis top-notch player looking to become a superstar in Revis
Couple of malcontents and/or train wrecks in Braylon Edwards and Cromartie
Non-vanilla coach in Ryan

Seems like a good choice.

I was just thinking about when they had the CHiefs on. THere is not ONE fuggin player except Bowe that is still on the team. OK, Brodie. But other than that...they guys they "featured" are ALL gone. Un-friggin real.

...and yeah, I'd think the Jets would make a damn good Hard Knocks team.

I'm thinking 49ers....up and coming team....Singletary... (if not Ryan and Jets)

Well...they picked the Chiefs a few years ago, so it's not like the bar is set that high.

I just watched the Chiefs Hard Knocks on Hulu.com for the first time. Being a long-time Chiefs fan, it was great to get an inside look at the Herm era Chiefs. It makes me uber glad that he's no longer roaming our sidelines, and Carl is no longer making any decisions that affect the Chiefs.

Seeing Sanchez on this will be like porn to some people here.

I watched HN when the Chiefs were featured. I would find it really interesting if they did them again just to see the differences between Herm/Peterson - Haley/Pioli behind the scenes.

Wasn't it inspiring at the end to see Larry Johnson get his contract and then run onto the field?

It was like the end of the Natural.

Yeah, I definitely got a little teary-eyed at that point. I only wish they would have played the Rocky theme too. It was great to see Priest though...a symbol of when we last had hope of having a real playoff team.

This was unofficially announced two weeks ago, and is true.

:spock:

The Bengals went from 4-12 to 10-6 and a home playoff game.

The Bengals went from 4-12 to 10-6 and a home playoff game.Really? Okay, I haven't been paying attention.

I knew when we were doing the show, the previous teams had all had fairly good seasons the year before and then tanked as soon as they went on that show. It happened to us as well.

I didn't really watch the show even when the Chiefs were on it, though. So I haven't caught the last couple of seasons.

Yeah, uh, the show didn't have anything to do with it.

We just sucked.

LMAOA playoff season to 4-12?

I'm not at all a superstitious person. The soup can/Madden cover/SI cover are all BS. So it this one (obviously). But really, what did we lose? Jared Allen was still there on defense.

There's no way we should have been as bad as we were. We didn't tank it just because we were bad.

The current guys aren't any better.
