Mike Mayock on the NFLN said, "Dez Bryant is the best wide reciever prospect that I have ever seen..."

Draft him!

Mayock's a moron.

I don't know why anyone listens to that guy.

There is absolutely no way anyone could think he's a better prospect than Calvin Johnson or Andre Johnson.

Give me a fucking break. Jesus!

Mayock just entered a whole new level of dumb-fuck.

Mike Mayock does.

:shake:

How can people be so fucking stupid?

That statement is so astoundingly ill-informed, so stupid beyond belief, that I need proof that he said that before I bash him for it.

Mayock did say this in 2008.

In his defense, on the Path to the Draft, I believe he said "when I scouted him as a sophomore, I thought he was the best WR prospect I'd ever seen."

If you went by his numbers in 2008, its hard to not make that statement. 87 catches, 1480 yards & 19 TD's.

He had 300 more yards receiving than Crabtree that season with 10 less catches.

People can bash him all they want, but the guy is incredibly talented. He's a moron and his stock will fall because of it. Many great college receivers saw their stock fall for whatever reason and ended up being very good in the league.

He's worth a mid-first.

When he's 6'5" 240 pounds, runs a 4.39 40, has a ridiculous vertical and catches 15 TD passes in a pro style offense with Reggie Ball throwing him the ball, call me.

And he should slide down to Denver. Trading Marshall for the 14th pick in the draft, drafting Dez Bryant at 11, and getting McClain, Williams, Iupati, or Odrick at 14 would = best offseason evar!

Trading Marshall would indeed be the best off season ever for every other team in the divison.

Yeah, but you still got McDaniels so it won't matter.

Yeah I'd feel so much better if this dumbass was the Broncos' coach.

Any Bronco fan who loves the direction that McDaniels has taken the team drinks the biggest batch of kool-aid I've ever seen.

I was wondering if it wasn't taken out of context.

I wouldn't have any problem if KC took Bryant with the #5 pick. He's an excellent prospect.

No! We need offensive linemen in this draft. Just slide Albert over and get another LT.

Too bad we can't trade up to guarantee Okung. Do you think St. Louis is interested in a Albert, Charles, Dorsey, Flowers combo trade to swap picks?!

First round playoff losses will be plentiful! True Fans will rejoice!

But seriously, Bryant is a good player. OSU has put out a few WR's with insane numbers that sucked in the NFL,though.

I say QB with every first round pick until we find the right one. I am tired of ****ing around with other team's leftovers. Today's NFL is tailor-made for QB's.

No we'll be fine with stone hands and the old man. Why get the best WR prospect in this draft, when we can reach for a NT or safety?

so this is a comment made by Mayock in 2008 that they are regurgitating and partially reposting?

Look at his numbers, Bryant DOMINATED at the collegiate level. I'm surprised by so many that bag on Bryant. It's almost comical now.

There is a knee jerk reaction against any player that comes from a spread offense.

I think a lot of people will be proven very wrong about Bryant.

i think it's more about how he is starting to look slightly insane

There is nothing not to like about him except an alleged lack of top end track speed.

:spock:

I'm sure NFL teams are salivating at the idea of spending a high draft pick on a kid that could be timed with a sundial, is a bad route runner, has to learn a route tree, missed the majority of last season and has some serious character concerns.

You may be overlooking all of those red flags, but most NFL decision makers aren't.

With the way most college offenses are run now, numbers mean little.

No name guys put up a ton of catches in those offenses.

I think he'll be a better player than Crabtree, who Mecca didn't like either.

Who stepped up in his place this year? Nobody. In three games he still led the team in receiving TDs.

I think he's a better prospect than Crabtree is, that said, he's not an elite WR prospect.
