My fiancee' and I are flying back to KC tomorrow.

My sister died of an asthma attack. Her bronchial tubes swelled up and they couldn't get oxygen to her brain. She was breathing on a machine for 18 hours at the hospital. They did a catscan and found out she was completely brain dead. Now my niece and nephew won't see their mommy until heaven. God had bigger plans for her up there.

I'll see you when the good Lord calls me home. Until then, I love you and the kids are safe as you know.

I'd never heard of someone dying from an asthma attack. That's immensely tragic. So sorry for your loss.

My son spent several days in the hospital with pneumonia recently. He was coughing and had a fever that came and went. It wasn't until at the Dr.'s office that they check his O2 level to find out he needed to be rushed to the Hospital.

I never would have imagined that something like Asthma would have such serious consequences.

I'm sorry for your loss. It scares me more than you might know. I'm sure to be more alert because of your having shared. I wish you and your family all the best in dealing with the tragedy.

Yeah what did her in was her temperature got up to 105 and that caused her brain to swell, fastly killing it.
