Some of us have nearly 40,000 post. Others have 65,000+.

We all come here everyday because CP is kick ass. But what would you do if you had to choose a different site? Would it be the end of the Chiefs blog sphere world?

Where would most of our 1,000 members or so go?

Nowhere. I am active on CP because its CP. Its not a source (for me) for anything else.

Before I knew about CP, I just wandered the internet looking for Chiefs news or anything else I could dig up. But afterwards, I know use it as my one stop shop for not just Chiefs news, but also Royals, and life in general.

After I found it, I'm not sure what I would do now without it. The internet would be a little more boring.

Probably to whatever other forum all of the other members congregated on. This place is more about the community than anything else, so I can't imagine that dying even if "ChiefsPlanet" were gone.

You're right, but this place has it's own personality that might not be tolerated on every Chiefs board. It would be a little different.

Then a new one would be started. I'm pretty confident that someone would step up to fill the void.

I've seen a couple guys on here say they might not be Chiefs fans still if CP was gone. That is pretty extreme.

Shoot. This brings up another topic... How has Chiefsplanet changed your life? Has it made you a better person, worse, or neither? I think it has made me a more aggressive person to be honest. Not in a bad way necessarily, but I find that I have stronger thoughts and opinions because of CP than I did before.

I have 50,000 posts on another website, and thousands on other sites. It would suck, but I have other places to go.

Probably wouldn't go another Chiefs BB, as there are no other others that even compare to this place. Just get my info of the Chiefs website, FB groups and ESPN.com.

Just have more time on FB and Xbox lol

I don't know. I'm not even a Chiefs fan, actually. I started posting because I lived in Olathe and I follow local teams in the cities where I live, even if I'm not an actual fan. So I started posting because of that and for the local interest. Now I live near Dallas, but I just could never post on a Cowboys message board. They're too lame. I'd probably start posting on a Houston Texans board like I did before I moved to KC from Houston, but I don't find their board to be as entertaining as CP.

Actually spend time on facebook I suppose.

As to how this place has changed things for me, I am much more knowledgable about all things political and economic thanks to what most people think of as the cesspool of this place, DC. It also keeps me up to speed on all things Chiefs which, as an out of towner, I appreciate greatly.

I have most of the people I talk to on here on facebook, so I'd just spend more time on there. For Chiefs news, I guess I'd actually have to go and find information myself.

yeah, i'd probably be more successful in my career and my personal life, and would eventually end up posting more on yachting and caviar sites.

The Planet would survive. Most of the core group would migrate to another board or set up Planet 2.0. It's the people that make the board work. The hands off approach to admin duties that give this place its unique identity. Take that same philosphy and the same people to a new board would not be so hard to duplicate.
