Tom Heckert the Browns GM has cofirmed trade talks with the Rams about trading up to draft Bradford. Would this mean Clausen to St.Louis?

Ahhhhhh!

If he was there at 7, one would think that they take him.

It could mean a lot of things, but if they get Clausen at #7 and have Cleveland give up multiple picks for Bradford...they will have won the draft.

I could see this trade happening the Browns have a million picks.

It would sure give the chiefs a better chance of trading back if both seattle and st louis wanted Clausen and he were there at 5

I'd feel so, so sorry for STL if they traded back to #7 and then KC drafts Clausen.

Rams front office: "Welp, Rams fans... we didn't see that one coming. Umm, you guys like Rolando McClain?"

Well, if that was the ultimate goal... trade down and get Clausen, it likely wouldn't happen until Draft day AFTER CLE goes on the clock and Clausen is still there.

If STL wants one or the other... they won't trade now and hope the other lasts.

Only if Clausen goes on to have a better career. I think that many in here have elevated Clausen because the Chiefs don't have a shot at Bradford. I don't think Clausen is the better prospect.

So, if Bradford goes on to be a HOF QB, and Clausen is a bust..... they won't have won at all.

Titty Meat

Clausen is the better prospect and it's not even close. Sure Bradford was accurate he also had an hour to throw the ball not to mention he's made of glass.

Very true, but I don't see Bradford surviving, literally, at the next level.

Clausen is the superior prospect.

The "leader" stuff is simply code for: "He's a good kid."

And, by all indications, he is. Smart, stays out of trouble, comes from a good family, etc.

Meanwhile, Clausen has "a name" and thus he must be arrogant.

Both are good kids.

The real question here is why is the Browns so reticent to take Clausen and move all the way up to #1 so that they can get a chance at Bradford? I thought Clausen was the only QB in this draft worth a shit. The Chiefs Planet has said as much. What gives?

So, what then?

Browns move to 1
STL moves to 7, then trade with Chiefs to 5 to grab Clausen?
Seattle takes....Spiller at 6?
Chiefs get Berry at 7?

That'd be nice. Then we'd have 3 second rounders, AND Berry.
