Skins trade is going to be interesting since they are getting short on draft picks this year.

From Schefter's Twitter:
"Jason Taylor's deal is two years, $13 million. But the real number is one year up to $3.75 million. Taylor is a Jet."

I wonder if they traded Haynsworth

He isn't part of the Carriker deal, according to Schefter.

A swap of 5ths brought Carriker to Washington.
Wow.
5th rounders have been quite valuable this year.

A swap of 5th rounders is what once-promising 5-techniques are getting. I can't wait for that conditional 6th that we get for Tyson Jackson in a few years.

Taylor is mostly done, but I'd rather see him in a Patriot uniform than Jet, especially given how pathetic the Pats pass rush is.
Now if the Pats cut Adalius Thomas, there's a decent chance he goes to Miami, as they are very thin at OLB.

Also wanted to note htat Dolphins fans must be dying. No fun to see one of your stars switch to the arch-enemy.

That seems like a horrible deal of the Rams.
It actually doesn't even make sense. Wouldn't the Rams move down a couple of spots in the 5th?

I'll guarantee that Dorsey has a much more promising NFL career than Tyson Jackson.

They have a 5th they acquired in another deal in the mid-late 5th.
They are moving up to the early 5th (where they'll have two picks) and Washington is moving back 15+ spots.

damn, 13th pick in 2007 traded 3 years later for a position swap in the 5th round?
can we get in on one of these trades please?

If only we had a 5th rounder.

Still an absolutely terrible deal for the Rams.

I don't know and haven't studied the cap rules or ramifications in this uncapped year too closely, but isn't it better to dump these higher salary guys this year to avoid a cap hit/penalties. Maybe that is why a lot of these teams are ok with dumping players for a discount this year.

This actually makes me really upset.
I still believe that Carriker has much higher upside in a 3-4 than Dorsey does.
The Chiefs could have traded for Carriker for a 4th or a 5th, and then traded Dorsey for a 2nd. We would have got an equal or maybe better 5-technique, and we would have moved up 2 rounds in the draft.
I know I'm alone on this one. But I stand by it.

Taylor wanted to stay in Miami. Had the Dolphins made him an offer, he would have stayed.
He reportedly turned down a metric shit-ton of money from Washington in hopes of signing with Miami.

Taylor is expected to be purely a pass rushing specialist for the Jets. Must be nice to pick up guys for only certain special aspects of a game.

Haynesworth for a 3rd?
The Titans have been in discussions with the Redskins about Albert Haynesworth "leading up to" the draft.
The report is from the Nashville Tennessean, though it was tucked matter-of-factly into a Haynesworth blog post. Beat writer Jim Wyatt believes the chances of a Haynesworth trade are increasing, and Tuesday's Adam Carriker acquisition could be the impetus the Redskins need to pull the trigger. The Titans don't seem likely to overpay, so a third-rounder could be enough to get it done

I've heard, too and that it might be done on draft day.

Now that Washington paid that $25 million massive bonus, I wonder how his contract looks. I know the Chiefs tried to get him last year and his contract is much more reasonable now. Offer a 4th?
