Homer question...

Would anyone take a Danario Alexander in the 4th or 5th? He's had some knee issues, but he's been as good a WR as anyone when healthy.

no, but i'd take him in the 2nd

DeezNutz

Spikes went faster today than he ran in the 40.

Dylan
04-23-2010, 06:25 PM
I'm surprised the Jets didn't think about safety there.

Seems like Rex Ryan collects corners & safeties -- you always can run 3 safeties -- hope the giants do that lol

and we collect Def lineman LMAO

i like rex ryan -- good def mind sheesh

We'd be more likely to take Sapp because he's a long-rangy type and NE guys love big OLBs, not the Hughes-esque guys.

Would you be happy with Sapp if he falls to the third and the Chiefs took him?

I'll watch Jets/Pats games just to see that Jets O-Line DESTROY Spikes.

That looks like a typical Patriots draft of the last 5 years.

I just don't get it. We had two golden opportunities to take a huge step forward and, at least at first glance, pissed that opportunity right down our legs.

As Mecca points out, we have done nothing up the middle of our defense. We have a glaring hole at rush LB, an old and ineffective OL, a very questionable QB, 25 running backs, a guy with no position, and that's about it.

Disappointing.

We had to draft McCluster so Pioli can point to Matt Cassel's marked improvement and not look stupid.

That's nice with that defense we're a 4-12 team.

'Hamas' Jenkins
04-23-2010, 06:36 PM
I'm in shock that Pioli is this dumb. It's the peter principle all over again.

We're going to give up 50,000 rushing yards this season. But at least Cassel will hit McClusterfuck on 60 checkdowns for 450 yards.

Again, it goes back to ownership. Clark picked the biggest name, just like someone who knows nothing about the game would do. I have no doubt if this were the Columbus Crew, he'd have gotten us an excellent GM.

1. Berry - A+

2a. McCluster - C Could have likely drafted him at 2b or 3. He's a playmaker and a potential match-up problem. Our Wes Welker?

2b. Arenas - D WTF? He was a good college corner but he's short and slow. That's not a good combo for an NFL corner.

3. Asamoah - B Solid selection. We need Our guards are getting old and Lilja is small. I like this pick but I was hoping for defense. Like Mecca said, who's gonna stop the run?

Our draft so far isn't as bad as people think.

I could live with this, except, I think they should've gone with a linebacker instead of Arenas. Sean Lee would've been my pick for the Chiefs.

Berry is a lock down stud who will make an immediate impact.

McCluster, even though some don't like that pick, I think he is going to make an impact on this team as well. You gotta see this kid. He is a football player. The dude can FLAT out play. He is smart, tough, and incredibly fast. Size is an issue with him, but he'll make up for it. He's a great character as well being that he is a man of faith. He'll improve the return game, gives the team explosiveness with his speed. He'll play the slot and will be our multi-purpose player. He'll make this team more dimensional and gives them more options. I could see him as a Sproles type of player. I think a grade C is too low for him. His grade should be a B or B+. Yup Id rate him that high. I really like the kid and am high on him. I think he is going to make our team better.

Jon Asamoah is good value in the third. Waters is getting old, and his play is declining. I agree with Mayock, he could start immediately. I think the Chiefs could've used a lineman anyway? Lilja is a good signing, but is it a secure one barring his nagging injuries.

I'd give the Chiefs 3 out of 4 on their picks. Take away one mark for not drafting a linebacker. Lee should of been our pick.

Well maybe KC expects Dorsey and Jackson to get a lot better and for that guy from Cleveland to stop up the middle for 15 to 20 plays per game. You're acting like Jackson and Dorsey have maxed out. If they have it wouldn't matter who KC would of drafted at NT or LB.
