The numbers aren't even close. One player dominates. One player leaps screaming off the list, like Horshack on "Welcome Back Kotter" when he knew the answer to a question: “Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!”

That dominant individual, of course, is Player F. This quarterback:

* Was the most accurate of any of these six passers.
* Dominated the average per attempt category – our favorite number – by better than 1 yard per attempt over the No. 2 player on the list.
* Boasts a passer rating so sky high it defies description, nearly 20 full points better than the No. 2 player on the list.

Elsewhere, Player F was No. 2 in total TD passes – but easily No. 1 in TD pass percentage. Player F threw a TD on 8.9 percent of his pass attempts – easily outpacing Player A, who threw a touchdown on 6.6 percent of his pass attempts.

Finally, Player F protected the ball much better than any of the other quarterbacks on this list. Player F threw an interception on just 1.52 percent of attempts – easily outpacing Player C, who threw an interception on 2.60 percent of attempts. And you know what we've always told you: quarterbacks who throw picks lose games. Quarterbacks who don't throw picks win games.

Dying to know who they are, arentcha? Well, the numbers represent the college career stats of six of the greatest quarterbacks in the modern history of the SEC. Here goes:

*
Player A is Peyton Manning. He played for Tennessee in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1998 draft.
*
Player B is Tim Couch. He played for Kentucky in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1999 draft.
*
Player C is Eli Manning. He played for Ole Miss in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 draft.
*
Player D is JaMarcus Russell. He played for LSU in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft.
*
Player E is Matt Stafford. He played for Georgia in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 draft.
*
And, finally, Player F is Tim Tebow. He played for Florida and the SEC and will be far from the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 draft.

Denver is the perfect place for Tim Tebow to flourish. Back before the 2007 season Belicheat and McDaniels went down to Florida to talk to Urban Meyer about his offense and implemented A LOT of it in New England. Urban Meyer is also close friends with McDaniels' father, so nobody in the NFL knows the potential of Tim Tebow better than JM.

There has never been a QB that has come out that just screams "it factor" more than Tim Tebow. Tebow is the LAST person I would bet against or think would bust. He is going to make a lot of people look extremely foolish.Easy there, partner. Tebow's got a HUGE task ahead of him if he wants to do jack shit in this league.

I don't even know if he can outplay Kyle Orton or Brady Quinn, truthfully. We'll see. It may take him YEARS to start a game in the NFL.

What a crock of ****! Are you seriously trying to sell to these good people that Belichick borrowed from Urban Meyer's offense???? Have you SEEN Florida's offense? Have you SEEN New England's? They are WORLDS apart.

The reason Belichick was in Florida was to evaluate the 9 players expected to be drafted in the upcoming draft. Other than that, Bill has a casual friendship with Urban Meyer and he does in fact, study MANY offenses different than his own -- not necessarily implementing their concepts, but to gain an understanding of them.

Seriously dude, you cannot know anything about football if you seriously believe your above statement to be true.

And Tim Tebow to Denver was the worst pick in the first round of the draft. Didn't you guys draft a running back last year???

Eric Berry is the best player in the draft this year and he will not take long to prove it. I had the pleasure of watching him on Saturdays for 3 years and whatever praise that you have heard is only the beginning.

You think you got a great player, but this kid is one of the best football players to ever live. You have no idea what you are getting in this kid. And he's squeaky clean off-the-field. The nicest guy you will ever meet.

1 overall pick in the 2010 draft.

http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/Articles/11_3171_A_tale_of_six_quarterbacks.html

I know that truly you are grasping at straws here so as not to start tying bed sheet to the ceiling like most of Denver is doing tonight, but you should throw a couple other names in there like Dorsey, Wuerffel and Leinart who were either similar or better than Quarterback F's statistics. Anyway, we all know the score here and there is no point on rehashing it - you get the point, and you've had a rough enough day as it is.

You should probably watch this video
http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=609

McDaniels when media questions if Tebow is really a good fit in his system:

"We stole a lot of their (Florida's) plays two or three years ago, maybe three or four years ago. They run a lot of different things. They ask their QB to do a lot.... What Tim's been asked to do mentally, there has been a lot of burden on him, same thing here. What he's been asked to do in terms of reading defenses and progressions is similar to what he is going to have to do in the NFL. He's been very well coached. I have a great deal of respect for Coach Meyer, have a good relationship with him, and have known him for a long time."

Also there is this...
Nix: The mutual admiration began in 2005 when Belichick visited Florida to study Meyer's spread offense. In turn, Meyer has tried to stress the same accountability and ownership Belichick demands from the Patriots.

Meyer: He even made the comment to me that the leadership he has at New England is all positive. Tom Brady and some of these great players are the hardest working guys on the team. Some programs are stuck with their best players, or their leaders, [being] the guys that don't believe in work ethic and don't believe in living right off the field. That's not by accident. That's the way they select their players.

Who did he develop? Brady was no better than Kyle "Pro Bowl" Orton his first few years starting in NE. The stolen signals is what won SB's. Weis didn't do a great job with Bledsoe either. He never really lived up to the #1 pick in the draft.

Heck Brady Quinn was a huge disappointment and Jimmy Clausen was a huge prospect coming out of High School and he wasn't even drafted in the first round after Weis was done with him.

Denver delaying payments to Elway and TD had nothing to do with winning the SB. Their salaries that they were paid were listed on the salary cap, they just weren't paid. Bowlen was trying to build a $400,000,000 stadium and needed to save as much money as he could. He didn't spend any more money on players that year than any other team.

That is precisely the type of logic that gets you clowned on a regular basis around here.

You're trying to claim your team would have been no worse without Elway orTD.

I wonder why Brady had the best 4 years of his career AFTER McDaniels became his QB coach.

Not like Tebow. Manning was kind of known as a choker in college who could never beat Florida. All Tebow did was dominate every opponent.

So Brady was no better then Orton?? Why didn't you win the Superbowl last year then?? I mean if McDaniels can do all that you should have won it??

Denver delaying payments to Elway and TD had nothing to do with winning the SB. Their salaries that they were paid were listed on the salary cap, they just weren't paid. Bowlen was trying to build a $400,000,000 stadium and needed to save as much money as he could. He didn't spend any more money on players that year than any other team.

Are you trying to justify cheating? Just curious what kind of man you are.

Brady never threw for over 3,800 yards while Weis was coaching him and that is how many yards Orton threw for this year.

I think we definitely would have won the Super Bowl if we stole signals this year.

We didn't cheat the game. That was just some front office stuff that had zero impact on the team. All that did was help Denver build a new stadium.

Good for them.

But it helps if the QB can throw a football. Tebow can't. Good luck.

Does he have heart? Check

Does he love Jesus? Check

Can he throw a football without looking like a moron? NO, he can not.

He completed nearly 70% of his passes in college and also had a higher comp% on deep balls than Sam Bradford.

If you can't see the difference between Tebow and Bradford in terms of who's the better QB, then I just really don't know what to tell you.

There's a reason why most teams looked at Tebow and viewed him as an H-back if anything at all at the next level.

Nobody knows which players drafted will be stars or busts. The truth will come out on the field, like it always does.

I abolutely can NOT wait for Tebow to start taking snaps under NFL center, with Clady blocking for him with Hali blitzing Tebow.

I can't remember another QB coming out of college that was more scrutinzed than Tebow because of his god awful mechanics.

Have you seen Philip Rivers mechanics? He has the ugliest throwing motion in NFL history and he gets the job done. Aaron Rodgers also had bad throwing mechanics coming out but he actually fixed his.

Rivers and Rodgers had mechanics that were 100x better than Tebow's coming out of college.

Tebow just dropped the ball too low. His release point is fine and he fixed the windup two months ago.
