VolSailor A Tennesee fan (I refuse to call them UT) had this story to share about Eric Berry...
The UT managers always wash, clean, paint, and apply decals to the UT helmets before the games. They have a hierarchy where the most senior managers put on the decals and the freshest have to wash. EB said he wanted to give back to the guys that do so much for the players so he could often be found helping the managers prep the helmets before the games. And he always washed/scrubbed because he didn't want to jump their hierarchy.
Eric Berry is a great football player and even better person. You won't understand for a while, but you couldn't get a better guy.<!-- / message -->
