Are there any facts about yourself that you have not bothered to share because you knew that no one on the planet would really believe you? Or that you have not shared out of fear of being viewed as "that guy on the internet who is making shit up just because he can"?

We all know that the interwebz is magical system of tubes that allows you to be anything that you want to be. But, I have a sneaking suspicion that there are a few planeteers that are actually legitimately interesting.

So here is the place to get those little tidbits about yourself off of your chest. People still may not believe you, but at least you are putting it out there...

I'll go first:

That could mean a couple of things. It could mean his parents did his homework for him. Or it could mean he was a hard worker.

Dude...

I made a lot of good online friends from that game...that was right at the beginning of the "Live era" and the headsets etc. etc. etc.

Me and the #5 guy created a custom course with 18 par 3's and we memorized every single hole and we'd take a grease pen and mark our TV's to line up the hit cursor and we'd be like..."ok...full swing - 3 power clicks - 2 spin clicks etc. etc. etc." so we could ace every hole on our custom course...

That game was amazing...I think I was 19 at the time and it really contributed to the 2 years I took off from college because I would play that game 16 hours a day...

I was the online money leader by millions of dollars...I raped everyone out of their winnings...it was awesome.

I also won about 35 daily tournaments...god damn I need to guy buy that game again...I'm getting hard just talking about it.

Oh man...

Funny story...

I was 20...so that was probably either NCAA 05 or 06...but either way...I bought the game...and had to go to work before I could play it...

back then...we were young and we were all degenerates...one of my biggest degenerate friends was "the guy on my coach"...lived on my couch...didn't work...I paid for everything that fucker did for 3 straight months...

Anyways...I get home...stoked to play the game...

Put it in...he just is sitting there watching...which is weird...because he just has a smirk on his face...I pay him no attention...

I start playing...I sack the QB...some weird sign pops up about saying "I took a shit on the 50 yard line!" I look at him...confused...and am like...did I get a faulty game here?

and then I score a TD...they flash to the crowd...and then they are holding a sign that says..."Jesus has a [racist term] dick!" and then I'm like...

Couldn't stop laughing...the dumbass sat around all day making signs for shock value for when I got home from work...played that game for months without ever changing the signs so I always got those special treats every time they flashed to those three douches holding that custom sign.

Hmm. How many different ones were there?

a sh*t ton.
I had look at a picture and name them , as well as identify them from their sillohuettes (sp?) as part of one of my last major tests at NMITC in Virginia.

a lot of the major ones weren't as bad, it was the obscure/weird ones that never got produced to a huge level that were tough. the Yak Forger I recall always 'got me'.

but there were ways to widdle it down; particularly if you learned the NATO names "Forger, Farmer, Flogger, Flanker, Fulcrum, Bear, Blackjack, Beagle etc)
if it started with "F" it's a fighter (obviously); 1 syllable = proppeller; 2 syllable = jet. "B" = Bomber etc.

"Tu-95 Bear"; soviet bomber, 4 props etc
"Tu1-160 Blackjack" soviet bomber, jet (looks jus tlike our B1)
"MiG-27 Flogger"; jet fighter etc.

is it fixed wing? variable wing? single/dual engine?; mid-mounted wing? delta shaped wing? swept wing etc.

....I'm starting have flashbacks lol

even the D1 idiot basketball players that don't Rose their ACT's still get 13-17's...and they are the dumbest of dumb...(of course that is based off of the 36 score, not the 32 that you're talking about)...but still

my older sisters both did better than me but I've always been the academic underachiever...

and in all honesty, in my high school (we're a bunch of dipshits)...25 was a pretty good score.

2 of my friends from college scored 25's as well. The others in our group scored higher. It's far from indicative of the success you will/will not have post high school. :)

I was #2 in the nation in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 for the Xbox...

I lead the nation in holes in one by dozens and never lost to the #1 guy on my home course...

Greatest video game of all time...the 2005 version...in fact...EA nailed 2005 in just about every genre.
I was pretty good at Microsoft Golf 3.0 back in the day. Played in several leagues and dominated. Also qualified for the on-line equivalent of The Ryder Cup for the USA team. So basically I was top 12 in the USA or top 24 in the world.

I had to look it up, but that was back in 1997, and the Ryder Cup was played at Valderrama Golf Club, so we played our online matches on the same course. We beat the Europian (CPS) players, but I don't remember by how much or what my record was.

A buddy of mine used to get A’s/B’s in HS; whereas I was a solid D student lol.
We joined the military, he got like a 55 or 60 on the ASVAB, and I got an 82.

Not saying the ASVAB is like the ACT/SAT; but I thought for sure he was going to score very high on the test; and I thought I had no chance. Lol
All those years in HS I thought I didn’t get good grades because I was a moron; …but it turns out it was most likely because I was completely uninterested in 90% of the stuff taught in school.

Graduating school in the Navy was probably the hardest thing I had done; non-stop studying (which, as demonstrated in HS, I wasn’t good at). When I graduated, I realized that I could probably do a lot more if I jus focused/committed etc.

I wonder what I would score on the ACT/SAT these days. Probably not well at all.

What's funny is I find this the most interesting of all the achievements. I mean #number 2 in the nation is amazing considering the #of people who play these games. Hell i was happy to be ranked 300th or 3000th (can't remember which) in college football 06 I think that was it. I think it had Reggie Bush on the cover. I did win twenty consecutive games though. My friends viewed me as a god for that achievement lolYeah, that's pretty impressive.

I was ranked 1100 out of roughly 1.4 million players on the original Gears of War and I was pretty happy with that. God that game was the tits. My shotgun absolutely pwned all day, every day.

My design partner, Richie Williams, and I are probably right below Dave Fashbinder and especially Brian Valdez in significance. We invented the Namekian Endurance deck archetype that completely dominated the Tuff Enuff format, we broke the format for Regionals 2003 by exploiting Straining Destruction Move in an allies deck (getting the card errata'd to" Limit 1 per deck, Remove from game after use" after that tourney), we perfected Blue Roshi Dragonball and Blue Android 18, among other things. I never had the money to travel and play (plus I was only in Middle School at the time) but damn did I kick that game's tournament scene in the pants multiple times.

Pirate ships rock. When I went to Mel Fisher's Museum in Key West, I sprang the 20 bucks for one of those tiny silver pieces-of-eight replicas made with actual silver from the 1622 Atocha wreck. I wear it around my neck. It's just cool to think about it: they came to America almost 400 years ago, oppressed the native peoples to get their precious minerals, tried to haul it off, got sank by a storm, it sat at the bottom of the ocean for 350+ years, got found, taken up, melted down again, and now hangs around my neck. Long journey for a little piece of silver, whose life is now relegated to swinging there while I fap to Internet porn. LMAO

During the summer after my high school graduation, I was at a kegger and hanging out with friends. An old girlfriend of mine was quite tipsy at the time and asked if I could drive her home, since we lived in the same neighborhood.

I told her I wanted to stay and have some fun and for her to find someone else to drive her home. Needless to say, she didn't make it home.

That one moment totally wrecked me like you wouldn't believe. It's something I've had to live with all my life and it still bothers me to this day. Ever since then, I've literally taken friends aside and beat them until I got the keys out of their hands should I consider them too drunk to drive. I've even paid for cab rides to make sure a friend got home. But none of that will ever bring back my old girlfriend.

My best friend hung himself last year. I was the last last person he ever called. he called me two or three times right before he did it. I didn't answer because I thought he was just wasted like usual. I was his primary caretaker so to speak, and I imagine I could have talked him off the ledge that night ( I had a few times already)

I worked with Al Pacino on "Insomnia", sat beside Mimi Rogers as a cop on a bad movie about tornadoes, worked with Scarlett Johanssen just before she made it big, my first acting gig was as a nerd on 21 Jump Street in love with Holly Robinson (and I shared a shuttle to set with Johnny Depp), worked with Tim Robbins and Ryan Phillipe, told Hillary Swank while she was visiting then husband Chad Lowe on the John Denver Story that she was going to win an oscar for her performance in Boys Don't Cry, and drove my car right behind a bent over Halle Berry in tight leather pants on a motorcycle...so good stuff

Used to play pickup football with Josh Freeman when he still went to Grandview.

I met Michael Dixon(bball player for MU) when he was getting his hair braided by one of my friends. Always talked shit to him since then when Lee Summit West HS played my school.

If he makes it to the League, I can say I knew 2 professional players when they were young.

Also, going back to the ACT thing a few pages back. Despite being a straight C student, I got one of the highest ACT scores in my school. I'm not dumb, just don't give a fuck about the things being taught unless it's history or something interesting like that. Hell, I haven't done my homework at home since like the 8th grade or something like that. If I can't finish it during school, I won't do it at home...

I had some neat accomplishments in HS.

Finished 3rd in the KS State wrestling championship the first year I wrestled.
Placed #10 individually in KS high school golf state championship 2 consecutive years in a row. Had full-ride golf scholarships offered, but didn't want to pursue it.
Placed #7 in the nation in the FFA National Land judging competition. Huge event with each state represented.
Placed #2 in KS in the FFA KS State Livestock judging competition.
Received a 1+ for a state championship percussion contest. Had full-ride band scholarships for college, but didn't want to pursue it.
Was president of the Emporia State University Engineering Club for several years.

Since then, my life has been somewhat less eventful though...
