I figured there are enough soccer fans to make this a new thread. KC Wizards team president/part owner announced on twitter and bigsoccer message board that KC will be part of ManU's preseason tour through America. Looks like the game will be on July 25th from what he has posted and I assume at Arrowhead.

Cool, I'd go.

Lived in England for a few years and watched a lot of football - FA Cup time was a national party. Still have some subbuteo sets and a field I picked up when I was there.

Then I stand corrected.

On the radio yesterday, they were bitching to high hell about how it was one of the stupidest scheduling mistakes ever and how whoever is making the decisions should be fired.

I didn't follow up; so there's a great chance you are correct.

It's hard to depict that atmosphere. Brits have their own unique way to supporting their teams.

I wish I could make it although I really despise ManU.

The game will be against KC Wizards(pretty sure of this but there will be other Euro teams in the country at the same time so wouldn't be totally unexpected) and will probably be more competitive then you think. KC will be in mid season fitness and ManU will be in preseason form. Also the top players like Wayne Rooney will probably be on vacation since this takes place right after the world cup. Plus being a preseason match we will see a lot of the young talent getting a chance to impress. MLS teams in the past couple years have provided really competitive games in similar situations.

The only other close location they may hit up looks like Houston so fans from all over the Midwest should be flocking to KC just to get a chance to watch ManU in person.

The Wizards might be decent going forward, but our defense will be in SERIOUS trouble against the pace and skill of Man U, even their bench players.

I think it's going to be played at Arrowhead so probably not the Wizards. The negative thing is that even if 50k show up to watch the game, the stadium will still look empty as hell.

I would guess it becomes official either this week or early next week but they may be waiting to announce the entire US tour and waiting on other cities to confirm... tickets I imagine would become available shortly after that.

Yeah, with all of their WC players still on vacation. No big deal for them - this game was for the money and attention (sell jerseys, spread name recognition).

It's good for the Wizards though. Maybe they'll gain a few new fans too from the ones that came to see United.

who gives a shit.

There is a donut-shaped muscle called the penile sphincter at the base of the penis. Normally, blood flows into the penis through arteries deep inside, and out of the penis through veins near the surface. When the penile sphincter tightens, it slows down the flow of blood through the veins, so the penis swells with blood and gets hard.
The problem is, the capillaries (the smallest blood vessels connecting arteries and veins) can't take too much pressure. If the erection lasts too long, a capillary (or several) may burst. This can permanently damage the penis.

I think that is what they are experiencing.

MLS is a good product with a lot of potential. I think it can only go up from here.

Zach there is a good chance we ran into each other at the game. As a former intern with the team I help with operations at a lot of the Wiz games and my sole duty for this game was to keep the photographers in the right spot and I probably bugged you to collect your mls photo bib at the end of the game.
