I know man my sense of humor is shitty sometimes, but I make myself laugh a lot. really I'm harmless. Have a good one

I never made it a habit to watch it, but on the occasional times I did, I enjoyed it and thought it was funny. Saying "meh" sounded way too harsh for my feelings.

I enjoyed Greg Proops mildly, but the show was just too corny for me.... and I was like 12 or 13, so that's pretty bad.

The British version was better from what I remember (although not that much better)

Funny you bring this up, I randomly came across a clip on youtube the other night and came across a gold mine and probably ended up spending an hour watching clips. I never realized:

1) Someone posted the deleted scenes from several episodes on youtube. Most of these would not be allowed anywhere near the Family Channel. I had no idea. It was like hearing Bob Saget cuss for the first time.
2) Stephen Colbert made an appearance on this show.
3) If you enjoy awkward television... the clip with Richard Simmons may be the greatest 10 minutes in television history. I think I am only slightly exaggerating there.

I will only have a good one on my terms.

And part of those terms are predicated on you having a good one as well.

So, suck on that. And have a good one.

Yeah, WLIIA is classic YouTube material.

I think it's better in 5 minute snippets than in 30 minute installments.

It took a couple of shows to grow on me, but I find it hilarious. Those guys are either astoundingly quick-witted or they get the topics secretly ahead of time. It's amazing.

I'll watch for signs that they know ahead of time and have never seen any, but I do see them start to move ahead of time before their name gets called for a skit. A microsecond ahead of time, they'll start moving. However, that doesn't necessarily mean they know the topics, and maybe they just figure that they're due to play.

Whatever was on comedy central in the late 90's early 00's I found annoying at best but I never really sat down and watched more than a few segments at a time.

IMO typical improv is much better live than watching on TV.

It's ok, I have a lot of respect for what they're doing, but I never seem to have that moment where I'm like, "Holy crap, that was hilarious." More like, "That was pretty clever." And I think Drew Carey drags the show down when he hosts. Like someone else said, the British version is funnier. Neither one is something I'd go out of my way to watch.

There are improve techniques and funny stuff in the bag, so to speak. They know how to play off each other. They are quick witted, but it is like any other job.

There are scenarios that they go through. If you are an EMT, you train for any different trauma situation.

If you improv, than you train for any different kind of subject matter.

I think the hardest I laughed at that show, though, was the audience members gave horribly off-kilter sound effects. IIRC there was a sketch involving an elephant and the lady let out a long MOOOOOO!!! slayed me.

We used sit down and watch that show as a family. Good stuff. Sure, some of it gets old after awhile. But there are times when that show just has me rolling.

Ryan Stiles is one of the funniest guys ever. There's a whole series of outtakes from Who's Line on You Tube. Here's one of them, you can watch the rest from the same site:

They shot a couple of hours of improv per episode and edited it down to the good stuff. Trying to cram stuff in during editing could explain them getting up slightly before you ear their name called.

Or they're just cheating dickheads.
