Wanting to find some new trails this summer in MO & AR. Seeing if anyone out there has some recommendations. I usually backpack in Hercules Glades and love to go down to the Buffalo, but dont know of much down there. Been to Lost Valley and the other popular hits, but that is about it.

Please give me the name of the trail and the nearest town.

Thanks bruthas! (and sistas)

be prepared for this, especially in Missouri or anywhere near Frazod!

Devil's Den just south of Fayetteville, AR in Boston Mountains.
Iron County (Taum Sauk, Johnson's Shut Ins) near Lesterville, MO in MO Ozarks.
Elk River, Noel, MO, in the extreme SW corner of MO
Katy Trail follows Missouri River from Boonville, MO to Washington, MO. Now there's a hike...

I'd be more worried about this:

nice call...add elephant rocks to this and it makes a nice couple days of walking.
it's only about 15 miles from johnson's shut-ins.

If you're wanting to do some multiday backpacking, the Ozark Highlands Trail (http://ozarkhighlandstrail.com/) is hard to beat.

Hurricane Creek Wilderness Area (http://www.wilderness.net/index.cfm?fuse=NWPS&sec=wildView&WID=254) is a particularly awesome section of the OHT.
