turn the volume up...that will be 69.95 as I have a minimum of 1 hour in computer diagnosis and get paid handsomely.

Did you download any upgrades for the sound card? I have done that before and had to roll back the driver so my speakers would work again. Windows Vista is such a joy.

you probably installed a driver update through windows update. Just go to your driver settings for the sound card and roll back the driver.

Thanks...how much do I owe you?It may sound stupid but it happens. I once had a person call me trying to figure out why their computer wouldn't turn on. I asked them if it was plugged in. Sure as shit the surge protector they were using was turned off.

I went to a directv service call once that the guy was cursing the system all up and down saying how bad it was and whatnot and how his receiver in his bedroom hasnt worked in over a week.

I got up there and it wasnt even plugged in and the cord wasnt even hidden or anything, he unplugged it to air it out after they repainted the room and never plugged it back in.

It happens, at least he took back all the negative stuff and gave me 20 for lunch.

I thought it was strange the sound went out on my pute, tv and ipod at the same time :hmmm:

Mine does that occasionally, a restart always fixes it. But I'm using an XP dinosaur.

Heh, I have had issues for several days with MSN. I had time today to call support and what a complete CF. I had some dude by the name of Amend (sp?) on the line. I could understand about every other tenth word. After about an hour and ten minutes of explaining to the stroke stick what was going on, he pushed me onto someone else. I talked to this dipshit for about 10 minutes (I understood about every sixth word) and was cut off. I called back, went through all the prompts and got another human. I was pissed the fuck off by this time. I started off by saying, "If you can't get me up and going within 10 minutes, I'm dropping your service and going with cable. This clown was also hard to understand and in between exchanges, I figured it out myself and hung up. :hmmm:

My dog chewed through my power cord and fugged up my laptop battery. Now I have to leave it plugged in always. Hubby took the battery pac out. I am thinking a new laptop soon.

Outsourcing is your friend :) Next time tell em if they can't get you someones who speaky Engrish your done with em.
