Ripley pulled off her heroics on her own. No Spock, no starship full of loyal friends. And generally, she was getting dicked around by Company agents and dealing with whiners like Hudson.

But it doesn't matter. I can't vote against Captain Kirk. He's been my hero since I was a little kid. The end.

Nice little cross-thread irony here. Ripley deserves it more, but I'm voting for Kirk because he's got Brand.

Remember, Kirk always wins by the end of every ep and movie. It took Ripley 4 movies to finally prevail. LMAO

Oh, for crying out loud, people. Vote for Ripley. Ripley beat real aliens all by herself. Kirk beat guys wearing cheap alien costumes. Kirk had an entire starship and crew and his security was breached a hundred times. While Kirk is running around trying to find saltpeter, Ripley would grind him into dilithium crystals. Ripley and a cat > Kirk and 400 crew members.

see, this is what I hate about this competition. we're essentially putting people in the next round that aren't the best, all because they were somebody's hero. take emotion out of it: it's ripley and it ain't close.
