We've got enough problems right now that we don't need that. While it would be interesting with the cast and crew we have now, but its been a curse to just about every team that's been on it. We've been shit since, but that probably has more to do with the "Old Chiefs" as in Herm and Carl.

2010 Chiefs Training Camp Opens on Friday, July 30th

The Chiefs will report to training camp in St. Joseph on Thursday, July 29th; practice begins on the 30th.

Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri officially becomes “The Summer Home of the Chiefs,” as 2010 Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp presented by Heartland Health commences with a practice at 1:50 PM on Friday, July 30th.

Unless otherwise noted, all outdoor training camp practices will be free of charge. MWSU will charge a $10 parking fee for premium locations at all practice sessions. Free parking options will be available for all practices and events. Please visit www.kcchiefs.com for a complete training camp schedule, as well as additional camp information and updated practice times. The Chiefs are scheduled to conduct 24 practices during their 22-day stay in St. Joseph.

Training camp will be highlighted by Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 7th as the Chiefs will conduct an intrasquad scrimmage at 1:30 PM at Spratt Stadium. A full team autograph session will be held prior to the scrimmage as the Chiefs prepare for their preseason schedule. MWSU will charge a $10 admission fee on Family Fun Day with free admission for children three and under.

The Chiefs are scheduled to conduct a free night practice at Spratt Stadium on Wednesday, August 4th at 7:15 PM. In addition, MWSU will host a special Training Camp Sendoff Event on Wednesday, August 18th. This evening full of special activities will include Chiefs practice, beginning at 7:15 PM. MWSU’s admission fee for the Training Camp Sendoff Event on August 18th will be determined at a later date.

Chiefs training camp returns to the state of Missouri for the first time in 20 years, and the team has planned a series of family-friendly activities during its stay at Missouri Western. Selected groups of players will be available to sign autographs following various practice sessions throughout camp. A Kids Zone featuring interactive games and other activities will also be featured as part of 2010 Chiefs Training Camp. A wide variety of official Chiefs merchandise and commemorative 2010 Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp items will be available for purchase, in addition to a selection of concession items and refreshments.

Kansas City will open its 2010 preseason schedule at Atlanta with kickoff scheduled for Friday, August 13th at 7:00 PM (Central). The club will conclude the St. Joseph portion of its training camp with a 1:50 PM practice on Thursday, August 19th. The Chiefs will travel to Tampa Bay for the club’s second preseason contest on Saturday, August 21st at 6:30 PM (Central). The Chiefs will resume their training camp schedule at the club’s training facility in Kansas City on Monday, August 23rd. Practices at the team’s facility are not open to the public.

The initial NFL contest at the New Arrowhead will be Kansas City’s third preseason contest as the Chiefs host the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, August 27th at 7:00 PM (Central). The Chiefs will round out their preseason slate at the New Arrowhead vs. the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, September 2nd at 7:00 PM (Central).

All training camp dates, times and practices are subject to change due to weather conditions and other factors. Practices conducted indoors at Missouri Western State University due to inclement weather or other considerations are not open to the public. Fans are strongly encouraged to consult www.kcchiefs.com before making travel plans.
