Congrats! I had plans to retire at 55 but the economy isn't cooperating. I will probably die at my desk and no one will notice until the stench of my rotting corpse seeps out of my cubicle. Then again my coworkers may think I just farted again and move on. The horror, the horror.

Oh I have plans. Number one is to put all of my mom's lifetime of great poetry in book form, lining them up date-wise with her pix from stages of her life and publishing them for the Farsi speaking folks. I'd like her to see this. She is in her mid 80s and and hopefully I'll have enough time to do it.

yeah, my point was I'll probably end up croaking before I retire, whatever the age. that would be just my luck.
my retirement $ is effectively $0 after the lovely 2008/09 forced us into foreclosure and had to use the $ to survive etc.
...so, starting from scratch at 33. I guess it's doable.

My co-workers loved me. I could tell by the goodbye ceremonies they set up for me. I loved them back. Total 180 from my last job environment. In fact this was not an entirely happy decision for me as I WILL actually miss them.
