To be honest with you I am not that interested in the MLS as there is no team in my area, however tonight is Landon Donovan's return to the LA Galaxy.

The game (Seattle vs. LA) is on ESPN2 right now.

I will be watching our soccer hero as he takes on the fluorescent green team from Seattle.

The Wizards have been total shit lately. Kind of a bummer. But it is still fun catching up with the ball being played around the league. I always like watching the Sounders as well.

Not a huge Galaxy fan but I want them to beat the crap out of Seattle. Seattle has the most obnoxious fans who act like they created MLS even though they have only been around 1.5 years. The reason they even had the chance to land an MLS team is because of the non stop support and dedication from die hard supporters all across the country. This combined with players who whine more then any other team in the league has made me cheer for any team playing the Sounders.

Eh, I don't see how having a rapid fan base is a negative. Their attendance and season ticket base is awesome.

It would be a good idea to do an exhibition. Kind of like how there is an NHL hockey game in KC every year. Has there ever even been talk of an MLS team in SD?

Yep, Chivas USA was almost a San Diego MLS team, and then they even talked about moving them here after a season or two of their existance.

Eh, I don't see how having a rapid fan base is a negative. Their attendance and season ticket base is awesome.

No doubt their fans are great and their ownership/front office did an incredible job of marketing the team but they act like no one has ever had fan support in this league. Toronto was doing the same stuff Seattle has done(selling out from day 1, standing/chanting all game) and their team sucked compared to the Sounders who were good from the beginning. They need to realize teams have had great support in this league since the league was formed just not always in the numbers Seattle had, and without these previous fans MLS would not have lasted long enough for Seattle to get a team.

I am friends with someone in the Sounders organization and after just one year of working for them he came back with this attitude of every other team in the MLS is minor league. He bragged about the international friendlies they were getting and didn't think KC or any of the other markets deserved a team like Man U. coming to town.

I will give credit to their fans for creating a great atmosphere and to their front office for building a winner in their first year after expansion but this early success has created an attitude that rubs a lot of MLS fans the wrong way.

Yup, the Algeria game had an 8.9 Nielsen Rating in San Diego, which was over 2 points higher than any other city. Whats especially crazy about that is that the game started at 7 am here and ended before 9 am. If it had been a primetime game I'm guessing the Nielsen rating would have been above 12 here.

It has been silent on the Omar Bravo front but apparently his dad recently passed away so that may hold things up a bit. I believe his team also wanted him to finish the next round of some competition he was in before joining another team. I think the deal is done and just waiting for time to announce but no one really knows.

OK, I'm 100% bandwagoning it tonight since the Rapids made it into the MLS championship. I made it to a couple of their games last season, but didn't make it out this year. It'd be cool for Denver to get a non-Broncos championship, though. I'm sure many of you would disagree, however...
