help me out. 65 for assembled decks from the skate park. shit bearings.(so i was told by cooter (daughters BF).

So Speedball is six, active, strong, tough as nails. should i get a full size board for him?

any and all info would be of help. online shops, what sucks, what doesnt, size of decks ect.
you can rent helmets and shit from the park.
25$ a year for skatepark membership is a good deal. Itll give em something to do other than sit around and watch tv or do nothing out in the woods.

you going to get one for yourself, too?
i have a couple from when i was a kid way back in the 70's. i'm sure no kid would want to be seen w/them now.

A smaller deck will help the kid with control and it'll be easier to learn tricks. 64 bucks ain't bad for a full deck. When I was a kid....1989ish...the deck itself would cost 40 beans. Wrist protectors are always a good investment....at least get the kid some fingerless gloves with a padded palm insert if you can.

Have you considered a ripstick instead? My kid has both and he uses his ripstick much more often.

My kids zip around on their ripsticks like crazy. It's impressive to watch. I tried it several times, and provide hours of laughter for my kids after my 5-10 second ride..............

no ripsticks allowed. The point of the skateboards/park are so they can get off the farm and hang out with kids outside of school.
Its fairly cheap and they seem to have a real interest.

Id like to get em both into karate but w/ the legal BS draining our pocketbooks 200 or so a month isnt an option untill next year.

I would rather have them debate this than twilight or legos.
