There is one of these contraptions on the middle of my road... I assume it is to gauge the average speed that cars travel down the road, but I could be wrong... any clue?

Unroll all of that black wire and snake it around on the street where you are sure plenty of tires will hit it. Leave it like that for a few days, making sure you drive over it like that a lot more than you need to, and then put it back like it was. That aught to get some attention on your street.

I refuse to put herbicides or pesticides on my lawn for aesthetic purposes... that shit is toxic and not good for the overall health of the great Mother Earth...

The guy who lived beside me mowed his yard 3 times last year... he luckily moved... but the weeds that he had infiltrated my yard big time.

My big trees in my yard don't give my yard enough sunlight really either... so, it's good times.

I don't need to have golf course grass, though. In fact, I couldn't care less. The weeds do piss me off, but I refuse to put Monsatano shit on my yard.

Nah, the double is so they can detect which direction the cars are traveling. In order to accurately measure the speed the tubes would have to be set a specific distance apart and stay exactly in place. They have other ways to detect speed.
