You have heard of the expression "east coast media." Right?

Maybe it's KC only got the game as a favor to the Hunt Family, and KC is the smallest TV market on tonight by a big margin.

If anyone wants a real answer...ESPN keeps running a stat "Last season San Diego beat Kansas City by a combined score of 88-21"

The only reason the NFL gave this game to the Chiefs is to honor Lamar Hunt's wish for the renovation of Arrowhead and to help them sell tickets. That is it.

I hope ESPN will remember to leave the lights on after the wildly popular Jets/Ravens game.

Because everyone on the east coast will be asleep by the time the Chiefs play.

I'll be up until 1 or 2am watching the game. Then get to work by 7am so I can log extra hours. :shake:

the early game is more marketable/relevent/important to the NFL. no one cares about the chiefs, no matter how many commercials they see. hell, the early game might end up being twice the game the chiefs play. half the population of our country will be in bed by halftime of the chiefs game. if it was the browns vs. the steelers or the bills vs. the pats i would'nt care much either. go chiefs!

Not Awesome at all. However, flying out early Friday morning to Knoxville, drinking all day, going out at night, drinking all morning Saturday and going to watch Florida beat Tennessee in Neyland, all without using a vacation day IS Awesome. :D

I'm just glad I get to listen to Brad Nessler over that Mike & Mike shitfest that ESPN has tried to push out the last three seasons.
