Per Nick Wright.

Damn, he was playing pretty nice yesterday. Made some strides from last year.

Could've been much worse. At least the next couple games are against two of our weaker (though not necessarily weak) opponents.

good news, looked worseDefinitely.

Smith didn't look too bad playing for him either. Wonder who's going to back up Edwards in the middle.

Surprisingly big loss. Magee needs to be active and he needs to step up.

Definitely.

Damn, that's good. He can be back right after the Bye just in time to help us get slaughtered by Indy and Houston.

Glad its only one or two games. Get well Tyson!!

The guy flashed for the first time ever last night. He looked like a man out there on a lot of plays.

Romeo and Pleasant have done an incredible job with Dorsey and now Jackson.

Dorsey was a damn beast out there yesterday. Wow!

Might as well sit him until after the bye week for the game at Indianapolis. Not that I'm getting a big head over one win, but the Chiefs shouldn't have as much problems in with the Browns and Niners.

I'll take it, given my initial fears.

This...I'd rather take the extra week or so to make sure he is 100% for Indy. We will need him ready to go.

Thank goodness it isn't a tear. The needs him to develop and last night was the very first sign that he might be able to.

Man has this front office/coaching staff actually brought in talent and developed players? For once we're goin in the right direction.

Gilberry, Gilberry, Gilberry!!!

If Gilberry has any significant time at LDE for us (outside of situational pass rushing), we are fucked, IMO.

Agreed. He gets eaten alive in the run game.

Love him in the pass rush on nickel situations, however.

I don't know if it is an illusion, or I'm actually seeing players get coached up for the first time in years.

I don't know if it is an illusion, or I'm actually seeing players get coached up for the first time in years.I'm not sure it isn't even a little more than that. Maybe a combination of players not being coached down and being coached up. Because I think a lot of guys have been coached down in my time watching the team, going all the way back to the stooges in '99 and '00, through Robinson and Gunther's return, and then with Pendergast last year.

Although I think with the defense, the fact that they're all in the second year of the 3-4 base (even with a new coord.) is a big deal, too. Less thinking, at least after the snap, and more reacting.
