Never questioned his talent one bit. It was staying out of the trainer's room which is big concern. If he stays healthy, he can be a Jason Whitten type.

Visante Shiancoe is the best comparison. But a better blocker.

I saw an interesting stat today. Shaincoe is 3rd in the NFL in TD's since 2008 behind Moss and Fitz.

A little too early to make that call.

They are VERY similar players... the difference is the player throwing them the ball.

I have made the comparison since wayyyy before we drafted him.

LOL, hey he was a playmaker last week. I just want to see him in the passing game.

It was obvious Cleveland was intent on stopping the run, we just shit our pants in the passing game in the 1st half.

I think play calling had a lot to do with it.

We cant run a simple slant or out route to get him the damn ball? I thought he was our Wes Welker. He's done absolutely nothing on offense. THAT is very disappointing.

He's like Brodie: he's super talented but if he's hurt he doesn't help.

The last two weeks he's played more and more slowly and is starting be a respectable pass catching TE...

The playcalling isn't atrocious.

Cassel doesn't throw to a receiver unless he's wide open. That's no way for a QB to operate.

I think Weis was trying to get Cassel going, hoping to get him into some kind of rhythm and build some confidence.

Everyone knows, we can't continue to rely on special teams and defense to score and win games.

He needs to find a way to get more from Cassel.

I told my friend who was over watching the game that it looked like they were intent on making sure everyone new they weren't scared to throw the ball.

Could have been a better mix though.

I also think our receivers are having a problem getting separation. I don't say that in defense of Cassel who looked like shit. I say that in reference to another issue entirely.

May be why Moeaki was getting passes because he was the only one getting decent separation early.

Moeaki is the only guy who can get open consistently right now. We really need to upgrade at WR. Chambers can't get any separation at all.

The question is who do you trust. Do you trust weigmann to get the push to move the pile 1 yard or do you trust charles leg.

I got to go with charles leg.

For the record the browns had a 3rd and 1 and threw a touch down pass of 75 yards, I suspect nobody on their end was bitching. However everybody would've been howling if it wouldn't of hit.

Every plays a winner, and every plays a loser. Difference in outcome is execution.

You shut your face. Thomas isn't exactly chopped liver. He's a 2nd string rookie at NT for SD who we could have had, if we had passed on Sheffield. Basically a backup pass rusher or a backup run stuffer. Not disappointed that we got Sheffield, but I'd have rather had Thomas.
