If you've been a KC fan for a while, there is no real need to elaborate. For the first time since Nick Lowery, I consistantly feel that a field goal attempt is probably going to result in 3 points instead of me throwing the remote.

I've never kicked a field goal, and I know most fans assume anything under 45 yards is fairly automatic, but I'm sure it's not the easiest position to be in sometimes.

He's had a direct impact on KC's two wins. Hopefully KC can find the endzone a bit more often, but until then, I'm glad Succop isn't Tynes, Elliot, or whatever other kicker has forever earned a place in football infamy.

Not to nitpick, but shouldn't it be an appreciation thread?

Stoyanovich and Morton Anderson were pretty decent while they were in KC. Although Anderson did miss one in the playoffs....

We had some shitty kickers for a while. I appreciate the Succop.

Indeed.

I messed the thread title up without any pressure, so I'm certain I'd be out there shanking field goals left and right with 89,000 people looking at me.

Dude has only missed 4 kicks in the NFL and three were from beyond 50

Hes gonna be a long term answer for us I think.

yeah, and he's still 2 out of 5 on those 50+ yarders (53 yrd career long) so it is nice to know that if you absolutely have to have a long one, he at least has a fighting chance to make it.

Under 50, he is 28/29. (96.6%) Under 40, he is now 20/20. It is early and he'll hook one eventually, but the man has never missed a kick under 40 yards in his NFL career.

His kickoffs were well managed also. He took Cribbs out of the game. You could easily say he had a huge impact on us winning. I appreciate.
