And we give Charles the ball atleast 20 times, and get McCluster involved in the offense. Our 2 most explosive playmakers have done nothing (besides JC's 56 yd TD run of course).

If he shows steady improvement with each game I'll be happy. However if he lays an egg, by which I mean doesn't get the offense into the endzone again, then we'll be looking at a long game. Defense can score only so many times.

I agree, I will say that however Moeaki has shown some great skills over these last two games. Hope he can keep it up so we can have Tony, Dex, Charles, Bowe and Chambers all on the field at the same time. Cassel might just have someone to throw to at that point. Provided he can get the ball past 10 yds.

I don't get why this is a big shock, or insult.

To the betting public outside of KC, we're a team that has won a game with less than 200 yards total offense, and won a game without an offensive TD. The offense has two possessions total in two games in which they drove into the red zone- both resulting in a FG.

The betting public isn't dumb enough to wager real money on a team that can't move the ball offensively, and depends on DTD's and kick returns for scoring.

Would any of you put $100 of your own money on this team at this point?

Hell no, and I see your point. But at least with the way our defense and special teams has played to this point I feel like we have a chance in every game. You never know, maybe the offense can get to a point where they can score a TD per game or something. Wait...nah.

They manhandled the Cardinals in their house as well. We were 2-6 though on the road. Close losses in Indy, Minn, Hou, Sea. A bad loss in Philly and GB.

Correct,I've been watching and wagering too long to ever make that mistake, hell,I was the only one in the CP game who took the Niners Monday by the point spread and moneyline and damn near hit both.

I look at this game and see a dejected 49er's team on a short week traveling half across the country and playing an early game in a stadium that should be packed with rabid fans.I also see a team that went on the road week 1 to a division opponent and got embarrassed by a team with a worse running game than KC and dare I say a worse defense that held them to 6 points.

That said I also see a team with an improving QB and a stud RB who can make a D cooridinator have some sleepless nights knowing that if he stacks the line to stop the stud RB the improving QB has some serious weapons he can beat you with deep.

So what have I learned?

9ers have great run d. Forces us to use cassel and make plays in passing.

Their passing offense is slighty better then ours and then there is gore.

Positives. Our d and hyped crowd.

I see us losing 24-19. 1def/sp tds. Rest fieldgoals. Cassel 14 yds 2ints.

The 49ers offensive line lost their center. Baas isn't close to Heitman. Davis doesn't look great and got his ass whopped on the road in Week 1. Iupati looks good. They don't have Chilo Rachel, their best offensive lineman.

Crabtree has 3 catches this year.

Singletary continued to praise the offensive line's performance from Monday. He was particularly effusive about rookie right tackle Anthony Davis, who not only shut down Saints defensive end Alex Brown but also threw his weight around at the end of plays. That type of attitude - "nastiness" in NFL-speak - has been notably absent from 49ers offensive linemen in recent seasons.

"That's what I saw when we were looking at drafting him," Singletary said of Davis. "That's the thing that jumped out the most was his nastiness. That's the thing I really like about him."
