View Full Version : Chiefs Gretz may have called me a Clown...

From Bob Gretz today...

One internet clown apparently wrote that Charles isn’t being allowed to play because he’s a draft choice of the Peterson-Edwards-Kuharich regime. Supposedly that has Pioli/Haley slicing his touches.

So, let’s approach this with some logic, without emotion and hopefully without that kind of stupidity.

why would anyone think something that stupid anyway?

I'm pretty ashamed of myself. Bring in TJ, and draft another RB... yes RB... exactly in the same mold as Charles with a high 2nd round pick. Don't know what I was thinking.:sulk:

Yeah, he's taking a shot at Whitlock. Again.

If he were calling Coogs out, he would've said, "Some Internet dildo proposed a three-team trade involving Charles." ;)

Well he would have said the same thing about me because thats what i think. He has proven he can do the job yet they bring in another back off the street and start him over charles...why then if that is not the reason?

It's the same reason why Flowers, Carr, Dorsey, Albert, Richardson, Hali and Bowe are all getting benched.

If they would have brought in another skilled player at that position, and spent a high 2nd round pick on another, and benched said players... I might have bought into the same theory for said position. Since they didn't, doesn't apply to those mentioned. And there will be another offseason and draft next Spring. I could see a couple of those players on the bubble.

You mean like drafting Arenas at CB, yet playing him at nickle while keeping Carr as the starter? They didn't draft McCluster to play RB in the 2nd round. McCluster has taken 2 carries in 2 games, so I'm not sure what type of fiction you're fabricating here. Suggesting that McCluster is a RB "in exactly the same mold as Charles" is laughable and beyond ridiculous.

Washington is going to get the nod over Flowers this week. He's a Haley/Pioli guy.

I can't believe all the crap being thrown about when KC is 2-0. It's going to be unreal when the Chiefs lose a few games.

No. And watch where McCluster lines up. Most of the time it is RB.

He's averaging 1 carry per game. He's going to mainly play slot receiver, not run the ball. Contrary to your oversimplified opinion, he's a completely different type of back/player from Charles.

But have fun carrying on your contrived conspiracy.

Wouldn't be the first round I have ever lost. We didn't bring in another vet CB to challange Carr. So same theory doesn't apply there.

We drafted a CB in middle of the 2nd round.

Is our 2nd round RB playing in front of Charles now? No. Will he be in the future? And Charles and McCluster are more similar players than say Charles and Jones.

I disagree. Charles is 5'11 200lbs. Jones is 5'10 212lbs. McCluster is 5'8 170lbs dripping wet. Charles and McCluster don't have similar size or running styles. Charles has straight-line speed where McCluster is quick and shifty.

Fair enough. I see Charles and McCluster as home run threats every time they tough the ball. I don't see that in Jones.

Andre Johnson and DeSean Jackson are both home run threats every time they touch the ball, but that doesn't make them similar players.
