Hey another rep thread, Well not really.

My boss and I are starting another company for a Board of Trustee's Content Management System software as a service package. We have built a software package for the University of Oklahoma Foundation board of Trustee's. We have spend the last 6 months developing this package for them and today the OU Foundation President told us that we need to take this national.

So with that being said, we need a name for this new LLC were starting today. Though I would query the CP knowledge base to see if we could get a creative name.

Agian the software is a CMS system for Boards, City Councils, Churchs, Hospitals, etc....

And to turn this into a 100 post thread, rep for people who come up with names.

Thanks in advance!

Well, if it's OU related, this is a no-brainer.

I'm guessing the software will be inside of a square/rectangular cardboard-type container, so the name should be...

On a serious note, I would give OU an ode in your business name. It started there, and it sounds like a big wig convinced you to take this national. That's a good relationship right there, and giving them a shout out in your business name will preserve that relationship for a long time IMO.

I've also seen that backfire...some companies might see that as them supporting or endorsing OU and could shy away.

Good point, and a public university may be the case where that does backfire.

How about....

Trusty Software Management LLC

If you are looking to market your software and make your target audience have a broader appeal you want to avoid giving it a name that confines it. But by using the above name you give a nod (albeit a variation of the name Trustee) to the trustees while giving the implication your software is a trusty service package. (Which will be valuable in online age)

We have built a software package for the University of Oklahoma Foundation board of Trustee's.

Save that random apostrophe and use it in the name you choose. It'll do wonders for the product's credibility.
