Chiefs-Colts Postgame Notes
By Pete Moris

Scoring Defense: The Chiefs have held their first four opponents to less than 20 points, the first time the Chiefs have accomplished that feat in the first four games of the season since ’96. KC’s last streak of four consecutive contests without an opponent scoring 20 points or more came from 11/5/06 – 11/23/06. Kansas City held the Colts without a TD in the first three quarters. The Chiefs have not allowed a TD in 11 of 16 quarters this season. The last time Indianapolis did not score a first-half TD was vs. San Francisco (11/1/09) when the Colts kicked three FGs. KC has allowed nine total points in the first half of its last two games (3 FGs). The Chiefs held QB Peyton Manning without a TD pass for the first time this season. His last contest without a TD pass was at Buffalo (1/3/10).

More Defensive Stats: Kansas City held the Colts to season-lows with 341 yards of total offense and 244 net passing yards. The Chiefs allowed 97 rushing yards, marking the third consecutive game the Chiefs have allowed 100 or fewer team rushing yards.

Takeaway Stats: The Chiefs have been even or positive in the turnover column of all four games in 2010. S Jon McGrawregistered his first INT of the season and the sixth of his career.

Succop Stats: K Ryan Succop hit FGs of 45, 35 and 43 yards. He is now 32-36 (88.9%) on FGs as a member of the Chiefs.

Tamba’s Day: LB Tamba Hali forced his second fumble of the season and the 17th of his career on a sack of QB Peyton Manning. Hali has 4.5 sacks on the season and 31.5 for his career.

Bowe’s Streak: WR Dwayne Bowe has caught a pass in 39 consecutive games dating back to a contest vs. Denver (11/11/07), the Chiefs longest active receiving streak.

Colquitt’s Day: P Dustin Colquitt produced a career-high with a 52.0-yard net punting average.

Nice. It's fun to have the D back in KC. It fits Arrowhead's personality better than a high-flying offense, IMO. Of course, I'd like to have both, but...

I think the front office will go out and get a QB if Cassel continues to take a shite this year. Carl is gone.

Our defense rocks. 57 points allowed in four games. Just over two TD per game. 12.5 points-per-game if you get rid of the TD at the end of the SF game. And we've played two of the best offenses in the league.

Nope. Never heard that one before. What a fresh take. Thanks for your contribution...
