In an average month, how many days do you consume an alcoholic beverage?

I drink 2 or 3 days a week. Usually no more than one beer. I very rarely have more than 2. It's a far cry from my 20's when I drank basically every night, and I would say I drank at least a case a week. That's probably a very low estimate.

Voted 6-10, but 10 is probably stretching it... I think the Colts game has been the only day this month that I've had a drink. On average, I'd say a beer or two a week while at a sports bar or whatever, then some other event on a weekend or 3 per month.... so yeah, on the low end of that range.

Yes...ha...I am with you. And I love a few drinks with friends...relaxing and having a good time.

My comments here and others that have popped up in various threads are mostly from experiences starting years ago. Being a bartender, not at some cool place but at a place where there were just lonely sad people drinking to not be around or forget their situations at home. For hours on end. It has also completely devastated someone very very close to me. It isn't evil or anything....but too often the reckless use of it gets glorified way too much.

Diabetes puts a 2 drink per day limit on me, so I consider a drink or 2 to be a 'ration' and enjoy according. I have my ration or half-ration 4 or 5 days of the week, but at the end of the month I may have only had as much to drink as I drank in 2 weekends, back in the day.

It all depends if I am "training" or not. If I go work out then I won't have a drop, because it will feel like I wasted my workout. If I don't, I'll have at least a couple of drinks every night. And I tend to binge drink at least once(usually twice) on the weekends. Drinking a lot less now that I am getting back in the gym, and my flag football league has started on Sat mornings so I don't drink basically except for Sat, Sun, and Mon. LMAO I voted for 11-15

I'm not much of one to drink alone. So, since my wife can't drink with her medication, I "may" have a nice scotch or a glass of wine once every couple of weeks. When I go to the sports bar to watch the Chiefs, I'll probably have two or three to keep them from tossing me out (*grin*).

I used to drink more often and in more quantity when I was younger and in the Army (always someone to go drinking with then ;) ), but nowdays, I prefer to savor a good tasting drink rather than downing a bunch of inferior stuff.
